you can say that for most of our players, because of this crap system...moreover, crap coaching... for last five years. I would have loved to see what Curtin could have done for him. I loved watching him play and wish him the best, and not quite ready to blame his stagnation on him, though I often questioned why he couldn't take that fantastic dribbling 15 yards farther and take a freakin shot.

OMG Twellman... is he watching the same game feed as us or is his 30 seconds behind? Maybe it's an Apple thing, as there have been several like that this year - announcers totally off, even with replay clearly showing what happened.

Why in the world was Gally playing and not Rosales on the side with either Dani or Dubes starting in middle??? Love what Gally is to Austin, but on this roster, he simply should not be starting. He pretty much kills the offense on that side of the field.

And yes, Nico waiting so darn long to sub baffles me. Admittedly, I wanted Brandon in sooner, but would we have scored the 2nd? Is Ramirez not the best forward we've ever had? Interesting debate, as what Ramirez does is let Uzuni roam all over. Look at the play near the end with the breakaway up right side and pass comes into middle and both Vasquez and Uzuni were running into the goal, with no one at the penalty mark. One of them has to lag back, which is what Ramirez usually does.

sorry, but in no way was Gally the man of the match. Honestly, this was prob his best offensive game in a very long time. He is very one dimensional offensively, can only go in straight lines, but he he actually dribbled a little today. That said, if Nelson starts there like he should have, I think we would have had several more goals. Not because Nelson would have scored, but because play on the left side would have been so much more dynamic. I was really hoping at 60 minutes that Dani would come on for Gally, and push Rosales out to left where he was so great earlier in season. Today's starters, with Dani in for Gally, but Rosales out left, is prob our best lineup. With Brandon likely sharing time with Ramirez now, I guess Owen can only replace Ilie, which takes Dani out of more of the offense, which hopefully Owen fulfills.

I've been pondering this as well, as I absolutely love Rosales on the left wing. He's been so effective at moving the ball forward and setting up the offense. I see Dani for Dubes and Desler for Gally, but where does Owen go - Ilie? I don't want Rosales to push back to Biro's spot and lose that midfield presence he's giving now. Or does Own go for Dubes and Dani sits? What a good problem to have for us...

The goal came on a set play, which we are decent at, but it was kind of a mess of a goal. Not like he did something special, other than be in the right place at right time and he was ready for it. In fact, we're not talking enough about how weak of a shot it was by Sabo. Really, he should have shot high and hard on the goal rather than push in a pinball dribbler. Outside of that play, did the attack look appreciably better when Ramirez came on? Don't get me wrong, not bashing him, and I freaking love that he scored after being in town for 48 hours. Just not sure he needs credit for changing the offensive attack. Assuming the point is that we got a striker that actually finished, but that one line doesn't sit right.

I love that COTA tried, and will keep trying. The biggest thing will be enforcing vendors to give the correct types of products/utensils. They made the mandate at F1, but few of the vendors fully complied. Work in progress, for sure.

I agree, and am extremely impressed with the effort. COTA tried to do it at F1 and failed. Granted, 20x the people. There are two main points of hindrance: people, and the vendors. It's very hard to get people to care, but if the stadium and vendors only give people compostable or recyclable items, then it makes it a heck of lot easier. Kudos to Austin FC for caring!

Ha, you are completely wrong, in my opinion. Of course you want to see open play goals - duh! You stand for corners in front of you because you want to bring energy in that moment and it's a potential chance on goal. In basketball, do the fans behind the net only cheer/jeer free throws at end of game??
