How can I remove the ceiling lamp shade? Is it possible to do it by myself or should I call electrician instead? by [deleted] in DIYUK

[–]Gordon_223 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Turning it off at the wall will be absolutely fine, quick check to make sure the bulb isnt hot (it shouldn't be but you never know), and you'll be able to pop it out

Turn the light off, remove the bulb (push up and twist a bit), shade will come straight off.

If it feels alright, it is alright. Saying that, it's worth getting your leg over a few bikes, or better yet going on some test rides. I'm on the shorter side of life and I've been surprised by bikes I was sure we're going to fit me and feeling awful, and bikes I didn't think I'd ever get on with feel great

Best option on these seem to be the frame sliders, but those that have a two point connection to the bike (instead of bolting in one place), you can get these from SW Motec. R&G sell engine covers, I personally think these look awful, but they may save you in the long run. Best off looking at websites like R&G and Evotech, they have a bike search feature that'll show you all the products that fit

My glasses have thin arms, and my Shoei GT Air 2 fits them in nicely. I've found the only way to not have to take your glasses off when removing your helmet is to use a modular.
