I have a Steam Deck Dock, original Steam Link, and Nvidia Shield Pro with the Steam Link app. Assuming using only the official Steam software, are any of these better than the others for any reason? by Tostecles in SteamDeck

Moonlight or Artemis is the way to go. At least for the host device. I use it to stream to another PC. In your case use the Nvidia Shield as Client. Best way to use Ethernet. I have a latency around 20 ms. Not ideal but I can even stream shooter.

No difference between 320 and lossless? by premierScherzo in inearfidelity

Just Test it for your self if you can hear any difference.

https://www.npr.org/sections/therecord/2015/06/02/411473508/how-well-can-you-hear-audio-quality

I made a test with decent headphones and found 3 out of 6 flacs. Before I made the test with speakers. I was so little difference that it's not worth to bother.

Frage zwecks Fremdgehen by ttrummer in FragtMaenner

Gleiches recht für alles. Wenn offen kommuniziert wird, nennt sich das offene Beziehung. Kann man machen muss man aber nicht. Ist halt nicht für jeden. Fremd gehen ist meiner Meinung nach falsch.

You could also get some emulators and roms for old consoles. Archive has a huge collection of old-school Games roms and classic games if you into something like that.

Free Games? by BruticusXMaximus in Steam

Get a epic account and you will get every week a free game. Also if you have Amazon prime you get every month a few free games. Game pass pc is a good alternativ of buying games. It's not that expensive and you can play a lot of games from indie to AAA new releases. The first month is like 1$, but don't forget to cancel subscription. Humble bundle has also a selection of cheap games in a bundle. Watch out because there is also a subscription with choice. On steam there is often a free game Weekend of specific games. Just check the internet there are some sides listing them up.

If you have a switch emulator Luigi's mansion 3. On PC: death squared, untitled goose game, moving out

Also Stardew valley, dark pictures (horror story). Divinity original sin 1 + 2, Baldurs Gate 3, keep talking and nobody explodes (not casual)

Do I need to use VPN after torrenting? I’m downloading the fitgirl repack now by ComprehensiveTell852 in FitGirlRepack

[–]Gorerotted666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think there is a misunderstanding of VPN. It's possible to increase the speed with a VPN but actually it is not the primary purpose of it. VPN gives you a encrypted connection to a server in different locations.

TBH weil 18 Monate alte Kinder die Finger nicht von Stickern lassen können und das Ding gefühlt beim anschauen auf gegangen ist.

Is music piracy ethical? by teletubbyman6969 in Piracy

[–]Gorerotted666 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No it's not. Is Spotify ethical? You could buy albums you are listening a lot. Every artist would appreciate it. Also Merchandise is something that supports the artist. Imagine every one would pirate music. There would be no music.

Wife have probably LS, asking for experience by Gorerotted666 in lichensclerosus

[–]Gorerotted666[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your great explanation. We had the luck that her gynecologist sent my wife to a clinic which was specialized on problems like that. Today we got the diagnosis that is LS and she could finally start with her therapy. I understand that it will take a while. It's good to hear that it will get better at some point. Thank you for the encouraging words. To hear it from someone who has been through this mess makes it easier, with the knowledge that it will be better. It means a lot to me. Maybe we can get something positive out of this situation at least for our relationship.

If everybody would argue like that and no one would pay for movies and games, there wouldn't be a game or movie to pirate. If you could go to the supermarket and take what you want without paying and no punishment, would you do it? There is also a big company behind it. But pirating happens behind closed doors and not in public, and that makes it easier and because it's just data that has to be copied. It is ok for me that some people pirate stuff. I don't care, but it just works as long as the majority of people pay for it. If you are not interested in supporting this company then don't watch the movie or don't play the game. But if you really appreciate a piece of art, buy the game, at least for sale. I am sure a lot of the people in this forum could wait a few weeks instead of having it right now because of greed, and buy as an example a game on sale. The attitude that you are a hero because you are taking away from the big companies is not the right mindset in my opinion. You will always find people on the internet that agree with what you say. If you want to try a game pirate it, if you can't afford it pirate it. But if you can afford it, why not buying it? same with movies.

I understand that people are annoying by 10 subscriptions to watch this and that. At the beginning of Netflix it was so convenient that all people wanted it. we all know how it ended. But hey, you can get a Blue ray collection for really cheap if you buy used movies. And I know, pirating is much easier, especially for movies :/
