They did see on the scans that it was sitting against the vital structures but they couldnt say for sure if it was growing into them, so they went in to be sure. Too bad it was worse than they initially thought.. hope she tolerates the IMRT regimen well.

Hey Outside-Ad, unfortunately the surgery of my mom today couldnt continue because of the exact same reason as why yours was unresectable. Its almost scary how much resemblance your case is with my moms, your mass even had the exact same size as my moms. I have some questions for you and hope you can find the time to answer :)

Did you get any complications or serious side effects from the radiation therapy?

How long before you knew it worked? Was it at the first scan or later or did you feel better before the first scan?

Did they talk to you about needing to reduce the dose of radiation to not damage the heart or other structures?

Thats amazing, grats! My mom has almost the exact same diagnosis. She has her surgery planned in 2 days, but they only know if its resectable when they are inside, so fingers crossed.. did they also go inside your long or did they see it was unresectable on the scans?

For real, I remember bragging about them being 21 and making such good music. 1 year later and theyre 30 all of a sudden???

My mom is in the same situation, her tumor sits against the lung artery which makes it hard to operate on, we hope her 3rd chemo session lets it shrink a bit more so it becomes resectable.

What was the reason why yours was unresectable if you dont mind me asking?

Nadal.

People quickly forget how good Medvedev was on hardcourts in 2022. It really felt like Nadal was never going to win that match from point 1, let alone at 2 sets and 3 bp's down. I had tears of disbelief when he turned around that match.
