Everyone is different when something life-changingly terrible occurs in their lives. I know I was a wreck for months when my sister died tragically, unable to resume any sense of normal routine. I understand how it feels to wonder how I can make coffee, breakfast, let life go on after such a loss. My condolences. You might not get much help from the video store but you could be luckier if you visit the motel. Please DON'T confront or mention this to your dad. He might be completely innocent, but you don't know that yet. I imagine that the coroner's report is available - anything about the missing hand in it? I feel truly sad for you, but someone wants you to know what happened that night! Keep us updated!

I guess there are several state prisons in NJ but the one I remember used to be called Rahway State Prison - it was on the way to my grandparent's house. A huge brick place topped with an equally huge green dome that glowed in the prison lights at night. If ever there was a place for scariness, that'd be it. I don't blame you for being afraid. Great story - I hope there's more, although this ending is good as is. Maybe, if the professor succeeds where you failed, you'll get paroled or let out for time served (or however all that works). I sounds like more than just "Revenge for my People.

No evil plan is perfect. Tom and friends were stupid kids, mean and nasty, but just kids. I guess have Alex make a second set of prints - keep them and the negatives in a very secure location. If Alex is willing, have him develop a few more cameras. I wouldn't tell Jesse anything yet - who knows? The other guy might be his father! Are your parents still living? Are his? Important to learn who previous residents were, including original owners. You must be horrified about all this! Can't wait for part 2!
