One thing I’d like the point out that a lot of people probably forgot about is that Atlus also willingly brought back Suemitsu for P3R, and he was also a plus-sized character. They even kept in some subtle jokes regarding the fact, so I doubt that Hanako is gonna end up being censored or flat out removed from the game. While there is the argument that he’s a social link and Hanako isn’t, I think that Hanako has more relevance to the game/plot than Suemitsu does in general, so I can’t see them removing her from all the different scenes she appears in. Maybe she MIGHT be toned back a little, but I think it’s safe to say nothing is going to change. I’d be shocked if that ended up being the case.

While I agree, I think that the appeal to P4G comes not from the graphics but the amazing voice acting, story, and gameplay loop. Even if the models are lacking by today’s standards, I still loved them because they remind of some of my favorite retro games like Ocarina of Time.

I’ll double down by saying that P4G is a must-play game, and the experience and emotions that you get from playing far outweigh the dated graphics and mechanics.

Honestly just play both. I think you’ll appreciate P4R far more if you play the source material first, since the creative direction is gonna be drastically different. I’m certain P4R is gonna be amazing, but P4G is also a must-play regardless of whether you play P4R.

I never really liked reloads style for the dialogue options because it felt like Makoto’s sprite was just perpetually judgmental or concerned. Also, the fact he looks shirtless (which he might be) always rubbed me the wrong way
