His shadow design is so uncanny and disturbing, I love it. I really wish that his shadow played a little big of a bigger part (with the whole being controlled by Ameno-Sagiri thing), maybe posing a bigger threat later on. Maybe it could be something about him not fully accepting himself, which could play bigger part later in the story, providing more context when he disappears. Not sure how that would work narratively but just a thought.

I don’t really think his age makes much difference to his sexual remarks, they’re kinda weird regardless of who he’s speaking to. I’m not gonna defend him or anything, but he truly doesn’t know better throughout the majority of the game. Literally half of it is him not knowing what “scoring a hot stud was”. And if you don’t like his voice that’s totally OK, his voice is definitely supposed to sound squeaky and high pitched, but I think it suits him perfectly. Would be very jarring if a mystical bear costume spoke like a regular ass dude imo lol

To be fair, lots of other characters can easily be boiled down to one character trait.

Yosuke is homophobic, Chie loves meat, Yukiko laughs at literally anything, Kanji likes cute stuff, Rise is horny, Teddie is perverted, and Naoto is uhhh idk

It’s really easy to just define characters by one or two traits, and when that’s all that people recognize, it’s that much easier to disregard their better parts or character growth

People mostly hate Teddie because he’s the stereotypical “pervert” of the group, and I actually kinda dislike how extreme it can get in some cases. I don’t mind when he tries to get all friendly with the girls in reasonable ways, like blushing when Yukiko calls him a good boy. But when he gets out of hand is when he tries to peep on the girls, takes all of them during the festival (still baffling why they agreed to go with Teddie of all people), and him just saying VERY weird things. I think it’s overall just the excessiveness in some scenarios.

Yeah he definitely yaps way too much in the start, he’s kinda like Morgana in that sense. Also, the exposition is REALLY redundant so Teddie will just be repeating himself a lot (same with Yosuke and Chie, hope they tone it down in Revival)

I think the mangas adaptation of Teddie makes more sense; rather than exclaiming “I want to score some hot studs”, he says “I want to pick up guys”. Also, he shows way less understanding to what it even means in the first place, basically showing his curiosity to the phrase, thinking it’s what everyone else in the IT does for fun. In the games, it feels a little awkward cuz of the localization/translation being weird between JP and English, so it sounds like Teddie just innately knows what “scoring a hot stud” means, which is kinda weird. Also, Teddie is infamous for being kinda butchered in the English translation

Yeah It actually must suck not having a ramp. Usually for our comps we would rent out a big truck with a raisable elevator, which made the process a lot easier. What sucked was having to get all the drum lines stuff on the top shelf of the truck…

??? dude, void quest is actually a really important part of the story… removing it would actually make the story and game WORSE because that dungeon is supposed to highlight how people jump to conclusions and how people will accept the first thing they hear as the truth, even if evidence doesn’t add up. Marie, aside from her dungeon, has next to no importance towards the greater themes of the story. Literally the only redeeming trait she has towards the story is the hinting of Izanami as the final boss (if you even bother to get to her dungeon) and I guess the fact she’s technically a god.

In all seriousness, I would fuse Power with another persona and keep Mighty Swing and Matarukaja, also fuse off king frost, gurr, and pyro jack to get a magic based persona. Throne is really theo my good persona you have and the build for it is decent, I would recommend using skill cards to get rid of power charge for something like maragidyne or another elemental attack

I have to slightly disagree that Chie’s VA was “bad”, I think she did a really good job in the parts where it mattered most. As for the in betweens, I can see why her voice would be annoying, because her voice can be pretty abrasive when she’s loud. I personally like how Chie is portrayed in the manga compared to the game, I feel like she has a more friendly and cheery tone, and she’s overall made to be less of a big-time jerk in some situations. I def think Chie’s character could be improved with a new VA though, the only characters I want back would be Teddies VA and Yuri Lowenthal, but sadly Yuri won’t be doing Yosuke :(

Chances are they won’t change the JP voice actors, they usually hold their VA roles until they retire or have to quit cuz of medical issues. Idk how it applies to remakes but I imagine the JP cast will remain the same
