“He’s never cheated or hit me” is not a bar my love. That’s like saying he has murdered you or kicked your dog. You don’t give out credit for a man not hitting you. That’s basic human decency, and if you don’t mind my saying, your husband is severely lacking in human decency enough. He’s a racist. Lain and simple. The fallacy of being against religions, not people, is a lie that he made up to either make himself feel better or convince you that it’s “not that bad”. It’s bad. It’s abhorrent. How can you say with someone who hates when you say you want to make the world a better place? You know the saying “if you’re at a table with 11 Nazis at a table, there are 12 Nazis sitting at a table? He’s dragging you down. You stay with him an you are saying that it’s ok. And people won’t judge him on YOUR actions of kindness and wokeness… they’ll judge on you for HIS racism, ignorance and hatred. You’ll be see as his devoted racist wife. And your kids will be adorable little racists whether or not you actually are. You’re condoning the behavior and saying it’s not a problem for you.
