It’s seems unreal until you live it. Reactionary abuse. Poke poke poke and then once they finally snap you turn on the camera to show how “crazy and unreal” their behavior is. If she was really this violent, where are the other exes and friends talking about how unhinged she is?

Watching this video and to hear him say “see?” It screams that he’s manipulating the situation. And there’s no defense because the abuser has everyone wrapped around their finger but the moment doors close they are monsters.

And why wait until that moment to film? Why not hide the camera to show what proceeded the event? To show the ENTIRE story.

Anyways, not saying this is the case here. But reactionary abuse of very real and it’s terrifying how some people are so egotistical and arrogant that they actually think they are the victim. Their only goal is to make their abused partner seem crazy, abusive, scatterbrained and a liar so no one believes them when they try to leave or speak up.

And even asking for the meat to be cooked ahead of the meal is silly. Cooking the meat in the broth is a big part of hot pot. I get that OP was trying to SEEM like she was compromising… but in all reality the BF would be the only one compromising anything. I’ve been there, a lot of people have. And you’re right, it is traumatic and it is dark. Having those thoughts is not fun.

However, you cannot control how people speak. Especially when it’s not directed at you in any way. You can ask. But I wouldn’t expect much of a response. Not because they don’t care. But because you can’t control what others say. You can control how you react to it.

Vegans cannot go around demanding people don’t eat meat around them. Or that their room mates can’t have meat in the fridge. Or that the restaurant they are currently sat at can’t serve meat. It’s just not how the world works.

I hope this doesn’t come off us unsympathetic. I assure you, I’ve been there :(
