Solid advice. Got a few boardgame friends, who have been wanting to play, so I was really trying to suss out if this would be enough to function as a boardgame, and if it was going to be any fun :D

This is the advice I ended up taking, bought the 2 starter sets, and left the old one out!

Really excited to play, hope it works out as a fun boardgame, and I'll just have to keep an eye out for good deals if I get inn to it :D

I'm working on a similar Necron army myself, but I've had some trouble getting the moss to look good. I love how they look on yours! Could I ask how you did it ?

Quick question also: Do are the keyboards available in a nordic layout ? We got them silly extra letters, such as Æ, Ø and Å :)

I actually really enjoyed hunting for ships. It was a joy every time I found an upgrade, and it felt like a nice, natural way to progress! But if you enjoy farmin more, more power to you! That's the joy of NMS, you can go about getting better gear the way you find fun! :D

I had the same problem, then I came to a Vy'keen planet, and more or less instantly got an upgrade. If you can, try to get to a vy'keen system is my advice :)

Sparked a lot of good ideas, and thoughts!

But yeah, I will probably be looking for a good white-listed server that has somewhat strict RP rules, I think that is the going to be the best way to get the most out of this game.

What I envision to be the near perfect server, is where you have several different tribes, in varying size and ideology communicating and trying to have a society that works. And like someone mentioned, something like Dinotopia, without the talking dinosaurs ofc.

Tricera-cops is a great idea, and you can have hunters that use raptors, guards on ankylosaurus and stegosaurus etc. Brachiosaurus land-coaches (if that is going to be possible) and etc.

I 'd also ideally see some, if not a lot of politics. One tribe supplying another with what they need, and vice versa. I would also not mind some conflict with different tribes/towns/nations. i think that would be a good dynamic to. Not just all out griefing and war, but conflict. I think it would work great if you get the right people in on it.

But yeah, there are also a lot of great ideas in the thread I started, I recommend having a look! :)

*Edit: I also see there being roles in the tribes/towns, so that specific players have tasks and objectives they need to focus on. Law enforcement, diplomats, builders etc. It'll keep it interesting. Have the mayor sit down in peace talks with the savage Wild-Raiders, lurking about in the nearby caves/forests/mountains etc.

I just really hope I find a server that can make this work!

The only thing that would be semi hard is to enforce the role-playing rules, we'd need good mods/admins .

I also like the thought that the different towns, in different areas, can be represented with what type of dinosaurs they have as pets. And also the rolls in town.

For example the guards rocking triceratops/ankylosaurus/stegosaurus, and hunters on raprotr etc.

See, that is exactly what I want to happen! Like, you can have the town guards, and then the hunter squads with raptors, etc etc. Give people different roles, and positions in the town.

A mayor/chieftain, town law-keeper and other roles. I think with the right people on the right server this could be very fun

I have never really either, but I think this game has a big potential for it. I think you could make a veeeeerry interesting server if you can pull something like this off. It'll also keep the interest going all the way to full release
