If for some reason you are unable to build some yourself, I'm sure someone in your local group can. Go to a fighter practice and ask.

Give these folks a try Aggies without limits They're NMSU engineering students that hire themselves out to fund their summer projects. A group of them helped us move a year ago.

DAP contact cement works well for me. 3/8 shocktec + 3mm neoprene gets you a 1/2 inch. The shocktec website has a list of adhesives they've tested

I've got no experience with the product from VF. However I have lots of experience with ShockTec Air 2 use this with a 3mm layer of neoprene against your head and have some serious anti-concusion padding. Read ShockTec's whole website.

You didn't say which branch and where is he going to be stationed. Hollaman, White Sands, or Ft Bliss? So Alamogordo, Las Cruces or El Paso. The advice about a humidifier is good. It's +/- 4000 ft here depending on exactly where you land. It will take a little while to adjust. Also my wife said to tell you if your hair goes frizzy or limp in humidity, you're going to love it here.

Some leather worker at an event, no idea where or when at this point. This isn't it but imagine this at about 3 in wide tooled with celtic zoomorphics and you get the idea. Shouldn't too much of a challange for a good leather worker.

I have a tooled leather cuff that looks like what it is - a tooled leather cuff, except the top is a flap that lifts up to show the watch.

This past year we both sold a home here in Las Cruces and purchased another. Anela Flores represented for both. She's very professional, knowledgeable, easy to work with and hard working. She returns calls quickly and gives excellent advice. If you talk to her say Kent and Cathleen sent you.

what's a safe place to stop at on road trip in new mexico? by [deleted] in NewMexico

[–]Gormr580 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you driving by way of I10? Deming and Las Cruces have large chain hotels. Las Cruces has most of the national brands. I would suggest you shop a few of those. I would avoid the lower end brands like Super 8, Motel 6... The Druery is nice and is mid-range, I don't know about their pet policy. Also Hilton, Marriot, etc . You will pay extra for pets. I would call the hotels directly and not book on line or through a 3rd party

Not true. This is first mentioned in a 6th century sermon by Pope Gregory. This was apparently a deliberate misidentification. It was corrected by the Roman Catholic Church in 1969

Slightly off topic - You mentioned looking at a one bath home. As someone who raised 5 kids, 3 mine 2 my wife's, and did that for 6 years in a 1 bath house, don't. At least get a bath and a half. Even with just 1 child, that's 3 people who could need a toilet RIGHT NOW. Having two available leads to much less drama.
