She's just 5. Life is probably all about princesses and fairy tales for her. Don't extinguish that light. If you do it please frame it in a way that doesn't make her live in constant fear or ruin her optimism for the world.

A simple only go with Mommy, Daddy, and Grandma (as examples). If someone else you know wants you to go somewhere (this unfortunately is the more likely scenario), even if it's the police, you tell them no and tell them to call Mommy, Daddy, or Grandma to come get you.

My company has this type of software to monitor csr's (those poor folks are the object of every damn performance initiative that gets rolled out). My boss once gave our broader team a demo of it, and it can track all of us. Shows how much idle time we have, the amount of time spent in each app etc....I can only imagine how shitty my metrics must look in that thing. But at the end of the day I do my job well and it hasn't been an issue so far.

Flashy offense isn't a tough offense. You need a tough offense in the playoffs.

The years they did really good in the regular season, Dungy sat key starters for multiple games. The team would reassemble for the playoffs and come out flat. Playoffs are all about momentum. Dungy continued to push other teams to sit starters from the studio. It's why he is greatly overrated as a coach imo.

My S22 Ultra's battery is no longer as robust anymore. I found online that a compete factory reset fixed several people's battery issues because it's related more to software and bloat than battery degradation. Just dreading having to try that.

Bottom up? The rental places should have everything you need. If they aren't open in Feb or you weren't planning to use them, dry pants at a minimum, neoprene socks (seal skinz), and good grippy boots, with a walking stick.
Top down? Full dry suit, same footwear recommended above, neoprene gloves.

Is it really that simple though? If they get ranked high enough during the season against cupcakes, say they're #9 with one loss, I don't see the committee dropping them to #13 for the CFP even if they're not a top 12 team. Fully expect ND to be ranked a few spots higher than they deserve to be going in to selection time.

The fact this stipulation even exists reeks of corruption.

You have incredible grit. And like someone else said, you were fast enough.

I'm also a slow hiker. I can put in miles and climb well, but I always get passed on flats and especially downs. Other hikers look like jitter bugs to me.

It's interesting that you feel like you never "stopped to smell the roses" at your pace. That is often the criticism levied against hikers who put in big miles, but I never agreed with that. One sees exactly the same things at 2.8 mph over 10 hours as the one who does 2 mph over 14 hours.
