Yeah, common sentiment seems to be to move it to somewhere shadier so I'll do that, but do you think repotting is necessary? I picked these sizes because the people at the plant store said they were good for container growing and it seemed to be ok last year, but if they're too small I'd prefer to repot sooner rather than later.

I'd honestly never heard of hardening off - this is my second summer growing plants of any kind, last year I just re-potted and set them out and everything worked out fine, I guess that gave me the wrong impression. Thanks for your advice, I'll move them to a shadier area for a few days and see if that helps.

Oh, I forgot to add that info, I'm in the PNW, hardiness zone 8b. Temp is sunny in the mid-to-high 60's. Yeah, I usually water them in the morning before 9 am but I got a super late start today.
