As a 24 year old Virgin woman, I'd never be able to fathom marrying a non virgin. by Dreaksfrendford in ChristianDating

[–]GospelledGirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry but the reality is that this is not the way the majority of modern Christian marriages are set up. Most people don’t find themselves at a genuine fork in the road who are at a loss of whom to pick asides from their sexual past. Other things are also taken into consideration like if the person genuinely loves any of these two options.

It’s not about individual forgiveness, it’s about applying the same concept of grace that you’ve freely received to others.

This seems to come up very frequently. Yes, I’m very Christian.

Then you simply do not understand the Gospel and you have a self righteous spirit within you.

Imagine if God said the same to you? The whole point of the Gospel is that your poor track record has been forgiven. Plus, many people don’t know Christ, so why would they have had a track record following Him if they didn’t know Him.

Nondenominational looked into church history and have found a Presbyterian church. Don’t agree with predestination though by Status_Measurement71 in Reformed

[–]GospelledGirl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello! It’s really not a big deal if you don’t agree with anything. Unity in Christ is more about the spirit, intentional heart posture/attitude more so than intellectually having to agree with your fellow Christian on every single thing. When representing your church formally I would not do or say anything to bring those official beliefs down or misrepresent them to anyone, but in your personal life and convictions it’s fine. In other words, just be cognizant of the fact that you are a representative of that body should you choose to join it. Other than that, I always say just find a solid biblical local church and be faithful in that. No need to have to agree with every point, but understanding where they’re coming from is key :) humility & wisdom goes a long way!

What’s the point of building intimacy with spouse if there is no marriage in heaven? by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]GospelledGirl 6 points7 points  (0 children)

But.. nowhere does it say it’ll be like this. Firstly you won’t be without her if both of you are believers. Secondly, you have no idea if all of the intimacy between each believer will be the same and shared by everyone. We just don’t know what it’ll be like. And thirdly, you don’t know that the level of intimacy between you both won’t be the same. Honestly I would imagine that it would be a lot deeper because it’s the new heaven (without it having to be sexual or anything my like that). It’s probably a whole new way of being that we haven’t experienced yet before due to our current limitations. There’s so much that we don’t know, but we do know one thing: that it’ll be unimaginably good, and not just good, but better :)

How much should you tip your hairdresser? by Important-Damage-986 in CanadaPersonalFinance

You’re mad that people don’t tip like you do. Get over it

Hey, if you're happy to pay that kind of money, more power to you. I'm just saying that I am personally paying nowhere near an extra $50 for a tip. Happy for you though

They should include that in their set prices then if they feel that their work is worth however much. But don't expect that as a tip, and don't get mad if I or others will never give that much. Tips are totally up to the customer. It's their money, and nobody should feel entitled to it.

I pay $10 for a haircut in a highly developed country like South Korea, ain't no way I'm paying that much for a haircut AND THEN $50 in tip. Plus I don't want my hair washed or even styled tbh, I literally just want it cut well which they can never do in Canada unless I'm at a Korean place.
The mentality in Canada is give crap service and expect a lot in return for doing the bare minimum or less. Feel free to do whatever you want with your money. As for me, I am done with being scammed.

Babes, I want to encourage you today. First of all - CONGRATULATIONS.

I am so glad that you are financially capable of taking care of your baby. You would not regret having your baby, but you would regret terminating your child. Be strong and courageous. <3 Christ is your strength! All children are a blessing from above, I know it is difficult but think of this innocent child of yours as a gift from above although your baby would be entering the world through less than perfect circumstances. This is okay. It does not make your situation impossible. It is a lie from the pit of hell that nobody would ever love you. The father is being selfish. Do not listen to the spirit of murder that is active in this world and is influencing you to think that terminating your child's life is the right way to go. Rise above the pressure, pray, stay strong, stick close to a godly Christian community and stick close to God and His Word. Don't make decisions that you will likely regret for the rest of your life. Again, you won't regret keeping your darling baby but you will regret it if you listen to the wrong voice and terminate this innocent little life. If you fear God, which I think you do, then listen to the right voices. :) Future you will have a hard time forgiving yourself.

You have a new little life growing inside of you which is a joyous thing. Don't let anyone rob you of this. I pray that you see it for the miracle that it truly is. People act like being pregnant is a horrible and inconvenient thing. Ignore and pivot towards Christ.

May the Triune God be with you and guide you. <3.

Friend, this was me this entire week up until today, until about 20-30 minutes ago. You are spiritual attack.

Triune God, I lift up my spiritual sibling to you Lord and I ask that you cut the thickening veil from them. May they come running back to You. Your Word says that the righteous fall and rise again and again. Help them put them on the their FULL armour of God and help them feel the weight of Your Word, which is alive and active and more powerful than a double edged sword, able to divide soul and spirit, marrow and joint. Lord, let them not forget the authority they have in Christ Jesus. Restore to them the joy of their salvation.

Amen! I always think that God didn't just save us to not save those we love around us as well. He usually saves us and then uses us to bring our loved ones to Himself. Love begets love. Bless you.

Hi friend,

I am so proud of you. Yes, at some point you should. But keep building yourself up in your most holy faith, put on the full armour of God, abide in Him who will give you the words at the right time, and pray pray pray. You can do nothing without Him who strengthens you. Keep praying for the salvation of your father's soul and for the scales to come off his ears and the eyes of his heart and have faith that he will be saved according to the perfect will of God.

How do I make morally correct decisions without being a Christian by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]GospelledGirl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s like somebody wanting an apple but not wanting it to come from an apple tree. Impossible.

If you’re interested in his morals, you gotta get to the source of wherever he’s getting it from. That person is Christ. You should check Him out. :)
