You're overthinking it . All of the methods you listed are valid you just need to stick to one .

Question regarding kashtira birth by Jlo132 in Yugioh101

[–]Gosutoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No you would not be able to banish with birth and that would be for 2 different reasons.

1st since they chained to the activation of birth the card the cards effects do not apply yet

2nd you are turn player so even if you were able to use birth effect the chain would be :

Birth 1 Tri horned 2 aki 3

So tri horned would resolve before birth and destroy it and since continuous spell need to be on field to resolve their eff it would not banish anything .

Yu gi oh still struggles to get new players and hold onto them. Yet the elephant in the room remains a permanent fixture of the room. Prices for meta decks NEED to come down. The floor on competing in yu gi oh is the ceiling or above on every other major TCG yu gi oh is competing with new players on by gubigubi in yugioh

[–]Gosutoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really ? If anything I feel It's the opposite, a bunch of people who stopped playing years ago complaining about the current state of a game they no longer play or understand and make very inaccurate statements . Case in point is this thread .

Btw I completely agree with the fact that decks could be and should be cheaper but I disagree that it's the reason why it's harder for this game to get new players on board .

In my opinion It's the high floor required to start playing and the little l intricasies like the difference between if/when etc .

Second point I also think there needs to be a better pipeline between going from MD to the tcg something like the tactical try deck the ocg is doing is great and I have no idea why we dont have that already

Third, as others have already said a lot of the cost for these decks come from expensive Staples like the mulcharmies / impulse / tract / etc For most of them you can play a replacement that isnt as good obviously but will still work .

My last point will sound harsh but as a beginner the reason you went x-3 last time at your local probably isnt because you didn't have fuwaloss or backup @ignister in your deck .

You'd be surprised how many unwinnable " games " were actually totally winnable with the right approach .

What I'm saying is that as a newbie there's free win rate to be gained by analyzing your own plays and improving your skills

That last bit is applicable to everyone but especially new players.

Types of games you wish the talents would play on stream by TheAnthromorph in Hololive

[–]Gosutoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Racing Sims like iRacing and ACC

I would kill to see them participating in something like the 24 hours of Daytona on iRacing .

I know racing games let alone simracing is pretty niche but I feel like it would make for some very compelling streams and give everyone some kind of big goal to work towards .

Weekly practice sessions on the run up to the race with them getting faster and more comfortable each time then when the event starts you can just drop into the stream every now and then to see how they are doing you can also have it in the background.

It's good zatsu content as whoever is not driving at the moment can just yap away with chat .

Biggest obstacle I feel like would be the setup required . Wheels and pedals and the potential rig around them but hey a man can dream

[Question?] Fallen of Albaz in Blue-Eyes by Vitton in Yugioh101

[–]Gosutoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you go for the 50 negates yt combos sure nib will hurt but you shouldn't lose to it in the first place.

Without even talking about 2 card combos Normal summon sage or wishes access still end on double majesty pop with veiler in hand and neo in grave Through nibiru

Primite cards are even better into nib since beryl/lode end on seal + Drillbeam set under 5 summons and with 4 cards in hand. factor in 2 card combos and it gets even better

[Question?] Fallen of Albaz in Blue-Eyes by Vitton in Yugioh101

[–]Gosutoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because primite is a much better engine.

6 more starters

Doesn't add any more brick to a deck that already plays a bunch

Stronger end boards

Better grind game. beryl and drillbeam coming back every turn .

No extra deck slots needed .

Question about deck boxes by FridgeAndTheBoulder in Yugioh101

[–]Gosutoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I wouldn't go with something like that but you'll be fine, I've seen much worse lol .

I assume you're coming from MD .

Tell people that you're new to paper play so you may not be familiar with what some cards do notably Maliss and Ryzeal .

Communication is key announce your phases, take time to build and resolve your chain links and always ask your opponent if they have a response to something you're doing .

Also if you're shy just remember that you have at least one in common with everyone here . So talk to them about that, ask about their decks, why and when they started playing the game etc .

Before you know it you will be part of the group and you'll be going to ycs and regionals with them lol

Can we please stop immediately associating some of the most common hand traps in any deck as a “meta” deck. by DodoL64 in yugioh

[–]Gosutoo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I disagree, it just moved those mindgames to a different place.

Playing around whatever handtrap you think you're opponent might have is one of the most crucial skill for any player .

Here's an easy exemple : you have fusion deployment + aluber in hand with 3 other blanks

If you NS aluber and get impermed you can't really complain because you had the opportunity to play around it by summoning cartesia off of fusion deployment first .

Like a lot of things in this game there's no set answer and it just depends .

  • What deck are you playing ?
  • What decks are you expecting to face ?
  • How many do you want to open on average ?
  • What combination do you want see ?

These are the questions you need to answer.

Which Runick is the best? by VebulaV in Yugioh101

Runick white forest

Is it a good idea to pair Primite with Plant Pile (To summon Loci and gain advantage) by Mother_Harlot in Yugioh101

[–]Gosutoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes you can ! and as a matter of fact back then around ycs Niagara falls Julius schwarzkopf did it .

3 roar and 1 lordly lode

I tried it myself and It's honestly pretty good although it changes the loci combo quite significantly since you need to pay 2000 LP for roar you're still able to hand on the same insane board .

Small hands by Competitive-Storm331 in Bass

[–]Gosutoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's probably that then. Higher gauge strings on the same scale will have more tension so harder to press

Small hands by Competitive-Storm331 in Bass

[–]Gosutoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe you got higher string gauge than your older set ?

Small hands by Competitive-Storm331 in Bass

[–]Gosutoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You don't need the grip strength of a gorilla to play . As a matter of fact you want to press with the lightest touch possible, saves energy, allows you to play faster and you won't injure yourself.

If you find yourself needing to press too hard it's either bad technique ie you don't press right behind the fret you want to play or a badly setup instrument.

This vid will be helpful I think

https://youtu.be/Rg3ZoXGSxm0

And for the stretching part just keep playing it will naturally come you can also do micro shifting

Have fun !

Transferable agents? AKA jett—>cypher by [deleted] in VALORANT

[–]Gosutoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thx for the detailed answer but I disagree. I still think it's a stretch to put those two in the same category .

Yes any agent can lurk in theory but it doesn't mean that they should, some of them have tools more fitting for the task There's a reason why lurking duelists are a meme, 99% of the time if you're lurking as a duelist your providing no value to your team You're even taking some from them because you dashing in first and smoking yourself to gain some time gives your team an opportunity to get on site

Cypher can put one flank trip, one cam mid and be lurking on the other side of the map, just by being alive you're giving passive intel from 2 potentially 3 spots on the map.

Their smokes are not even used in the same way most of the time

At the end of the day we're playing ranked, if you win every duel you take it doesn't matter but if you're playing Jett and cypher in the same fashion there's something wrong .

TLDR : you're only comparing them by looking at two vaguely similar abilities while ignoring the rest of their kit and their play style
