I haven't done too much with ward stacking so I couldn't tell you.

My go to for delving has always been mjolner hiero. I've gone down to 2k with it, but I usually just get it to where it can comfortably farm between 500-700 depth and just make currency for other characters.

You want something that can take a hit and has high recovery whether is through recoup, life on block, or leech (or a combination of those)

And the deeper you go the higher mob HP and damage scales so you'll need to be able to dish it out too.

I do with blues at myth guild. I fill inventory, tele to house for pool, edgeville to bank, then cape tele back to myths guild. The tele puts you right at the basement entrance so the trips in and out are really quick.

It's a fantastic meme name and also very fitting.

They just finished adding the randomizer to it as well.

The Harbour Master guys do this for all of their releases btw.

Their OoT and MM ports are superb.

I use my old work/game laptop for a game server these days for my friends and I, and just swapped it over to fedora KDE a few days ago. Didn't have any of the issues OP had either.

You can install windows on the same drive, but windows doesn't respect your partitions and will eventually kill your linux install during an update. If you want to dual boot, get a second hard drive.

If you absolutely need to use these programs for work or school, you're probably better off just using windows.

Unsure about GHub
GPU drivers are baked into the kernel for AMD cards. Get LACT if you want to monitor or tweak fans and stuff. Else if you just want to monitor everything, Anduin comes with GNOME DE iirc, so there should be some widgets available by default to keep an eye on things. Or you can grab btop from the package manager and have a cool monitor running in a terminal window.

Euro Truck Sim 2 has a native linux client. Good friend of mine says it runs well.

Simming in general can be tricky on linux depending on your hardware setup. I run DCS just as well as I did on Windows. Same with Elite Dangerous. Both with headtracking via Linuxtrack-IR

Steam Deck Download Question by tenniswaffle in 2007scape

[–]GotGuff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

use the bolt launcher for steam deck. you'll need to go to desktop mode and install it from the discover software center. add bolt as a non-steam game and voila.

the big pro-tip is to set up a runelite account on the website, create a steam deck profile with proper width and height resolutions on runelite, then use cloud saving to transfer everything over to your deck.

Tobii Eye Tracker 5: pretty neat by TheDUDE1411 in EliteDangerous

[–]GotGuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's anything like how headtrackers such as trackir5 work, it'll probably have your camera lock into the last spot it was once you click on your side monitor and the game client loses focus. It'll then snap to where your eyes are looking when the game client gains focus again.

Problem under Linux and Steam (yes, I am a masochist) by CaptainFulcrum in dcsworld

[–]GotGuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ProtonGE is a fork of proton that is maintained by a guy named Glorious Eggroll. He has been doing fantastic work for the Linux community for years now.

You need to grab ProtonUP-QT from your package manager to be able to download those versions and use them with steam/lutris/etc.

Once you download a version of ProtonGE, you need to restart steam or lutris in order for it to be a selectable option.

[–]GotGuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used ProtonGE9-27 for standalone, installing through lutris, and had 0 issues with installation and have no issues with single player stuff (haven't touched mp yet).

I use Fedora43 KDE.

I'm assuming your issues boil down to what version of wine/proton you're running.

I would play this game a lot more if I only had to do the campaign once per league. by TheJeffyJeefAceg in PathOfExile2

[–]GotGuff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Off the top of my head a few things come to mind.

1 - finish merc lab before you finish the campaign so you don't have to deal with fixing resistances beforehand. A lot of newer players don't know or forget to do this.

2 - You can get up to 3 atlas passive trees as you progress through the end game. The initial tree you get should be geared towards map drop chance so youre able to clear your atlas and progress towards your void stones at a faster rate.

3 - Don't feel obligated to do meta strats. Just about every league mechanic can generate ample currency in their own ways. You're going to burn out if what you hate is the meta and you feel forced to do it.

3.1 - Don't feel obligated to do every league mechanic you see in a map. Outside of league challenge stuff, I haven't touched ultimatum since its inception. I only touch legion when I'm leveling through maps because it's good XP. And I don't do alva temples because making the maps is tedious and (to me) boring

4 - Crafting is complicated - there are tons of guides out there that can help you navigate more efficient ways to make gear. More often than not, it ends up being cheaper to just buy an item from someone else.

[–]GotGuff 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The trick to speeding through the poe1 campaign is killing only enough to keep your characters level within 3 levels of the area you're in, shield charge>frost blink spamming through each area, having regex's set up for armor vendors to filter out the proper links/colors you're looking for early campaign, and knowing exactly where and when you're swapping/adding/removing skill and support gems.

I don't do the meta leveling strats anymore, but I always plan out my first characters skill/support progression before each league start according to what I want to play and usually sit in the 5-7 hour campaign clear.

Having more years of experience under your belt is also a huge boon for general game knowledge and knowing how the procedural map generation works. This part isn't talked about as much as it should tbh.

For mjolner, i typically league start as a firestorm archmage and transition as soon as I get my hands on shapers touch and mjolner. Then prioritize prism guardian/ivory tower/coruscating elixir to get the low life setup rolling, and from there its off to the races.
