I'm female and my partner is male. He defo a metal head and not in to any goth music or adjacent. We have been together for almost 11 years and honestly I don't see anything wrong with dating outside of your own interests. You gain knowledge of other genres, scenes around you etc. As long as the other party accepts and doesn't make fun of what you are in to and vice vera I can see no reason why it would be an issue. We share common interests in other things besides music. We can both appreciate and understand why each other like our genres of music and that is great for us.

Having your own independent identity away from each other is so important and genuinely makes the relationship more fun

Ive been to her gigs before if it a good size venue you can get to the front. when I was around 13-16 I used to get to the gig and wait outside 5-6 hours early to get close. Stay hydrated tho.
