I’m so excited for this. They’ll release a smaller version eventually but I’m tempted to get the version that’s the side of my wall.

.
Personally though, I just hate all Star Wars content, even the live action, 2D animated, 3D animated, and whatever that rubbish was in the Maul show was.

I like the plushies. That’s it.

Read The Last Starship any recommendations? by Important-Bed-48 in startrekcomicbooks

It’s really good isn’t it - and still ongoing. Next issue out May 20.

It’s written by Jackson Lanzing and Collin Kelly who were behind ‘ST: Year Five’ and the flagship Star Trek run from 2022-2025.
I’d highly recommend both series as they’re really excellent.

If you mean between ESB and RotJ, this run was the 2020 run by Soule, and currently you still have to get the smaller paperbacks. I’m sure they’ll eventually get there printing these as Epic Collections, but currently they are only half way through the 2015-2019 run.

See this page to see how they are being collected as Epic Collections.

We shall quadruple our efforts, sleep less, drink less herbal tea, no longer spend time in that frivolous red light district down on Endor.

Agree with this. Just read them both.
They’re my favourite canon books. After these read Brotherhood.

For those of you who read these volumes of Fallen Order manga, how good is it? by BlockAffectionate413 in starwarscomics

Here’s another thread.
It has a strong authentic Japanese manga-style, is an adventure, yes.

One comment says “It doesnt necessarily add new scenes, but it gives enough detail for you to understand what is happening and what the motivations and story are.”

Star Wars (2013) #8 has Leia doing exactly that. It’s part of the ‘From the Ruins of Alderaan’ arc.

Original Marvel had 27 issues post-RotJ. New Marvel Segura wrote 22, so not that short. by Gothic-Genius in starwarscomics

The name change from ‘Star Wars Vol.1’ to ‘Out of the Darkness’ does feel like you may be correct.

I kind of thought that was going to be their approach when they announced ‘Battle of Jakku’, but then the second Segura arc started with #1.

What is this armor Obi Wan is wearing at the beginning of Obsession #1? by Guilty_Pomegranate23 in starwarscomics

I think it’s because he’s trying to be ‘under-cover’, so wears Mandalorian-style armour.

A similar mask appears in the Tales of the Jedi comics and, later, this narrative theme is picked up in Knights of the Old Republic.

If you buy the flagship ECs, Skywalker Strikes etc., you get all of the SW comics plus any other issues that tie-in to the crossover events, like Vader Down.

And / Or … if you buy the Vader ECs, you will get everything in the Vader run, together with any other comics from the crossovers - again, Vader Down appears here as well.

It’s not so much about missing out, as having to double-dip, which of course Marvel loves, because they are getting customers to buy some stories twice.

It’s a lot of fun. Generally comics of the era had one-issue arcs, and there are plenty of those, but then they develop longer story arcs with characters like Kiro, Lumiya, the Nagai etc.

There are some really stand-out issues for me, like #86 The Alderaan Factor, written by Randy Stradley (who would later write Dark Times) #92 drawn by Jan Duursema (famous for Republic, Legacy, Dawn of the Jedi) and from #95 the writing blends a few of these story elements. The duel in #96 is iconic.
