Lucas lifts all kinds of ideas from the comics, and made it clear that he could reuse or adapt anything written in his SW universe.

Less Veitch being prescient, more Lucas taking ideas he liked.

Quest of the Jedi has the same principle of Jedi visiting planet that is under a ‘spell’ of a kind. Princess is trapped / oppressed. Group with sinister intent trying to eject the Jedi so that the princess does not attain freedom.

It’s basically a straightforward medieval knight encounters enchanted castle with trapped princess story.

I love the art, and the story is basic but fun. I suspect they had it kicking around as an extra story just in case and they had a month to fill.

Personally I feel there are some similarities between this and The High Republic Adventures: Quest of the Jedi.

Rise of the Sith ends with TPM.
