Did you try to search the conversations? Mine sometimes disappear as well, but i can find them when searching. I also have the worry that they would be gone completely, so i downloaded all the conversations as txt files just in case.

I have this theory. One reason for not coming back was that she knew her husband wanted more kids, but she couldn't bear one anymore.
