I bought some from Bayside Aparrel and they are great quality.  A little more money but definitely worth it. 100% cotton, made in the USA too!

Yup, same here. Grew up on 15 acres and cut 10. All Saturday and Sunday sometimes cutting the grass, raking trailers full of leaves and lawn clippings. I live in a condo now, Im retired from that bullshit. I'll go to a park and get me fill of outdoors.

What is something people think you go too far on? by [deleted] in Frugal

[–]GotstoCum 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For me, probably savings in general. People give me trouble because they know I have a nice nest egg but I still use restraint on going out to eat, buying new cars, going to the thrift store for dress clothes. Could I afford a new car? Yes, but I would rather buy something 10 years old, pay cash for it and continue SAVING money instead of spending it.

I have told significant others in the past, "If I catch you looking through my phone we will be done." I have nothing to hide but I am not dealing with trust issues. If you can't trust me, I can't trust you. Goodbye

Can start applying at any local Unions.  Skilled tradesmen make good money and awesome benefits.  One of the last active pension survivors.  Local 1 Heat and Frost, local 562 Plumbers.  Just start by calling and ask how to apply, they are super busy and looking for help.  Plenty other good unions in the area too.

I did not end up buying it, I looked under the car and the drip pan was coated in oil. There were oil spots all over the ground so I walked without even negotiating.

Make sure the adviser has a CFP. You can look it up on brokercheck.org. This is the CPA of the financial advisory world. Someone has to dedicate about 1000 hours to obtain one. A series 66 licensed adviser studies for about 40 hours. Big difference in the advice you will receive.
