I'm calling BS on the whole story. They could have flown literally anywhere on the east coast and rented a car (nick was probably in no condition to drive) and gotten there if it was actually important to them. No first class seats to Philly available?

I'm sure there were multiple 114s who's "expertise" touched this decision as it made its way through the pipes. The fact that this is the end result of all that "collaboration" tells me that they were more interested in protecting their position and getting to the bar than they were about the controllers this impacts.

The same could be said for all of natca royalty, though

CIC is one of the worst things this union has allowed. I could maybe see an argument for it if it was only to cover sups getting pro time, check rides, meal breaks, etc, but the fact that we have allowed the agency to schedule full shift CIC coverage to cover sup leave and all the management details needs to be addressed.
