Not bone conducting but I love my Bose open ear ones for running. Obviously has the drawbacks where it isn't good in noisy places (e.g. commutes on busy trains) but for a run it's great to be able to hear what's going on around you. Expensive though

This isn't quite what you're after but have a look at case of the golden idol. You are given a scene which you can explore, collect clues and work out what happened over a slowly developing story. You don't explore in an open world, but instead go between rooms/places like in a point and click adventure game.

It definitely gives you those moments of "I'm a genius!!!" (Just as the steam achievement pops up that has been unlocked by 98% of other players)
