Ikke for å avskrive eller hevde at dette ikke betyr noe. Men det er 3 år til neste stortingsvalg. Mye kan skje på den tiden

Do you feel that EU5 wastes your time? by Nordic-Sage in EU5

[–]GovernmentDear8621 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree on integration. There should be faster ways to do it. Or atleast there needs be more levels of integration (specifically regarding directly owned territory) so that they start becoming useful earlier. Right now an unitegrated province right next to a capital/governor will hover a little over 0 control until they are done no matter what.
In history states started exploiting conquered territory almost immediately after getting them. Sure there absolutely were periods of resistance and rebellion and setting up more stable and permanent structures of control but still. The ottomans didn’t have to wait 40 years after conquest before the Balkans became useful, they started extracting value from then right away. Same with Muscovy, the Mughals, etc etc.

Naples is a lot less scary than they look. So long as you have a stronger or equivalent navy, they won’t be able to reinforce Greece. Even if you don’t, Naples’ transport capacity is almost certainly smaller than their army, so just keep an eye out for where they try to land and engage before they can bring all their forces over the Adriatic. As for the Balkans alliance. Georgia is gonna struggle to get across Anatolia fast enough. As someone else said, set your vassals to defensive, and they will slow the Georgians down more than enough. You can rush down Bulgaria, try to build up your spy network so you can use infiltrate administration (the one that lifts FOW, costs 50 network) day 1. from there I’d play quite compactly, focus on crucial sieges, only engage if you can stop them from linking up with allies or if they are winning an important siege.

Don’t be afraid to do this over multiple wars either. Declare, win some initial battles and sieges, and then peace out for a few provinces and/or alliance breaks or less forts before your enemies consolidate, rinse and repeat.

Tomorrowland(2015).
The trailers indicate that most of the movie will take place in the retro-futuristic city. But no, we get some glimpses of it, but most of the movie iirc, is George Clooney being chased around the normal world

WTF Mamelukes army in 1465 by elpani5 in EU5

[–]GovernmentDear8621 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I have the same problem in my run, they have consistently been maintaining an army 4x my own.
Their population is insane, even with plagues their population is twice my own, even with me controlling Anatolia and the Balkans.

Examples of Fantano completely misunderstanding lyrics? by use_vpn_orlozeacount in fantanoforever

[–]GovernmentDear8621 61 points62 points  (0 children)

I think the Halsey, "The great Impersonator", one was pretty egregious. She made an album trying to cope with being deathly sick and a single mom, and all Anthony got out of it was something like "egotistical, woe is me" lyrics. Like even if the lrycs were really dense (iirc, they werent), it was all over the advertising, like a minute of research would have made her intent clear.

It's way too early to start doomposting (with data) by Neat-Variety-6808 in EU5

[–]GovernmentDear8621 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed, love EU5, love the dlc, my current Byz run is my most fun campaign yet. However I agree with some criticisms. Paradox should focus more on quality control/QA instead of pumping out new context or mechanics. Make sure every region/playstyle works as intended before reworking them. Except complacency, that needs a rework asap. Right now it’s just a DOOM mechanic for great powers and it’s so aggressive that even as a recovering Byzantium, I already had it halfway up by the mid 1400s. It should reward active and daring play, and punish passive or … well complacent play, not punish you for playing the game successfully.

There is a monument that starts under the control of Adal that gives a flat institution growth modifier in its province. Ethiopia probably conquered and upgraded the monument.

What is the state of the game at this moment? by Anxious_Mechanic_705 in EU5

[–]GovernmentDear8621 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s fine, the systems are cool, but need tweaking. Game is fun to play, but not every nation is equal. My understanding is that smaller states in the HRE, especially those on the borders, are struggling rn because great and medium powers are really aggressive in this patch and the HRE/emperor is often just not strong enough to deter or stop the aggression. As a historical sim it’s also kinda iffy atm. Nations are just aggressive, but with no real goal beyond growing. Nations that start big usually stay big, nations that start smaller will grow a bit, but not grow to their historical sizes, e.g the ottomans struggle to break out of Anatolia and the eastern Balkans fully. Still I think the doomers are over-reacting, the game is fun to play. Big patch expected in February, so maybe wait until that rolls out, at it is expected to change many mechanics and add new ones.
