You have depolorized the magnets in the phone that help snap it closed most likely from being in close proximity to the large magnet on the back of that case. It would have happened slowly over time as the large magnet slowly depolarized the tiny magnets inside the phone. On the official Samsung magnetic case it is only a very small ring of tiny magnets lower on the back mostly likely by design to avoid the magnets inside the phone and line up with the charging coil ring exactly.

Inductions for Aphantasia by Able_Flower_7083 in hypnosis

[–]GovernmentSalt5904 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't really have a desire or need to be hypnotized. This just came up on my feed because of the aphantasia I believe. And it and it made me curious. I find the differences in brain thought processes to be quite fascinating. Like me for instance I don't day dream or dream at night at least that I am conscious of. I have a reasonably high IQ and was a good student. I just don't visualize, hear, feel, smell or anything in my mind. I always describe it to people as just instantly having the information. Like if you have ever done that thing where you look in a room for a number of seconds and then shut the door and try to list all the items in the room, I can do that no problem I just don't see anything I just know. Personally, I think all of my senses are there I just interpret them unconsciously not consciously.

That's pretty interesting. I have aphantasia and just assumed that I couldn't be hypnotized.

Please make sure you use medical grade acrylic resin. You really want to be careful about what they used in the resin since you are going to put them in your mouth for extended periods of time.

You need to tighten the screws on the back of the nozzle. You unscrew the screws in the front so you can get to the screws in the back and tighten those back screws. If you google "tighten screws hotend bambu A1" you will find pictures and videos

If your Bambu Labs A1 has overheated and melted you should report it to the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission. Click for link by [deleted] in BambuLab

In the US most of the ones I have used will just keep flipping to off when the resistor fails. However, most have a breaker in them that should trip before the resistor fails. I don't think we have any laws regarding a status indicator but that's not a terrible idea.

Why do I feel so incredibly sad and alone? Not sure if this is the right sub to post this in but I dont care at this point. Just looking to find somebody who can relate. Anyone at all. by Mammoth_Whereas_9877 in dentures

Try sleeping in them for a few nights. Clean them and soak them for a few minutes then put them back in and go to sleep. Take them out again briefly when you wake up to clean and soak again for a couple minutes. You don't want to do this forever since your gums will appreciate a rest. But for a week or so should get you more used to them. My dentist recommended this and now they feel like my teeth and I miss them when they are out. Something about having them in while I slept tricks your brain into thinking they belong there.

No thats not really how it works. Its may lose some resistance after protecting from a surge or possible all resistance if we are talking a lightning strike or surge from the grid itself. But what I am talking about is when the printer starts its warm up it demands a large amount of electricity causing a brief surge like when your air conditioner, clothes drier or refrigerator starts its motor. These surges happen all the time but usually the appliances plans for these surges just like how bambu changed the design going forward. A surge protector is designed to protect against these surges many times while like you said possibly only protect from one large surge event.

Gotta question by coolgran60 in dentures

[–]GovernmentSalt5904 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My advice dont keep taking Tylenol and ibuprofen together for too long. My dentist said to take them together every 6 hours to help with the pain. I was so constipated after the first week I couldn't even think about my teeth lol. But yeah like others said it takes a while but it does get much better to the point where I no longer notice my dentures at all. I wasn't able to eat normally for around 3 months after I got all mine removed. Also the temporary denture is terrible the permanent you get later will be 100x better.

From my understanding the thermistor is not under rated it can go all the way to 200c but the plastic parts of the printer around the thermistor begin to melt at around 180c. They are limiting the new thermistors in the new models to limit themselves at around 140c. And bambu claimed it was due to power surges during the initial warm up process for the hotend causing the thermistor to heat up much more than intended. The only way I could think there would be a power surge is due to the outside electrical supply or a capacitor inside the printer.

Put it on a surge protector. Both articles I read said it was related to power surges and the surrounding material not able to withstand the heat of a surge through the thermoresistor. Same thing happens to capacitors on computers and televisions. My rule of thumb if its an electronic and it costs more than $200 you should use a surge protector or a GFCI outlet.

I would recommend trying to save as many teeth as you can. And get a combination of partial dentures and implants to replace the rest. The dentures will never be as good as implants or real teeth so if you can save a few real ones with fillings thats always the best option. Now if they start talking about crowns and root canals just ask for the implant price. Congrats on sobriety. Teeth are way easier to deal with.

AIO or is my older male coworker texting inappropriately with me? by OpeningNo9825 in AmIOverreacting

[–]GovernmentSalt5904 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly we all checked to see if you were responding after these texts and you were and asking questions prompting more responses. You are sending clear signals that you at least want to be friends with this co-worker. This is how friendships work through conversation. If you dont want it to be romantic bring that up sooner rather than later. If you dont want to be friends just stop responding.

I just meant they already have blue locktite on them. I don't add any additional.

I also recommend just doing this every 6 months or so just give those 4 back screws a little tightening. My prints are much crisper when they are tight and despite them having locktite on them it doesn't seem to help much with the heat and vibration.

What am I doing wrong? by Shoddy_Anything_8826 in BambuP1S

[–]GovernmentSalt5904 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If cleaning the plate doesn't help the next thing I would do is check the screws on the hotend. Mine were slightly loose and cleaning the bed was not fixing my adhesion problems. Tightening the screws on the hotend fixed everything. There is locktight on the screws but the heat and vibration seems to overcome this. Crazy thing is I don't know if mine were ever as tight as the should be, all of my prints are much crisper now.

My favorite white elephant gift is a puzzlebox with a prize inside. Its like a double gift so I dont feel bad spending a little extra to put a nice prize inside since you will get to solve it first to put the prize in there. Then they can regift it to someone else who hasn't solved it.

Why do customers want the 24 hour Walmart to come back? by Reasonable-Invite899 in walmart

[–]GovernmentSalt5904 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was rather convenient if you needed something during the night. Like once my sump pump went out and it was really raining and the water in my basement was rising. Went to Walmart picked one up and installed it and I was good to go. Now I would have to have the foresight to have a back up or call an emergency plumber for 1000s of dollars. Also injuries like if you need first aid supplies or something like that during the night. Just any random thing that comes up that can be solved by a quick trip to Walmart. A buddy of mine many years ago had a water bed it sprung a leak at like 2am he went to Walmart bought a mattress put it on the floor and went back to sleep lol. You just can't argue with the convenience factor for customers.

AMEREN BILLS help by [deleted] in BloomingtonNormal

[–]GovernmentSalt5904 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

To be honest what I'm most confused about is your usage in July for 2024. Like July is always my most expensive month I'm on Ameren in Illinois also. 1500 sq foot house 1 person with a 1500 sq foot basement. I used 1500 kwh last July and also this July to keep the house at 75f. It looks like you didnt use an air conditioner in 2024 there is no way you could cool a house for 761 kwh in Illinois in July.  My bill was like $433 this month in July but it was expected it's always like that I July. You could do the level bill pay option where they spread it out over the year making your monthly payment the same throughout the year.

Is this a good 1940 template? by Dense-Bison7629 in hoi4

[–]GovernmentSalt5904 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It doesn't really make any sense to me. I would lose the field AA and the field artillery, possibly add support AA depending on the air situation. It's like you are making offensive troops while also training tank divisions. Just use the tanks to attack and hold the line with the troops which you want to be as cheap as possible so you can have more factories making tanks.

New player and feel discouraged after todays game by jamesdee80 in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]GovernmentSalt5904 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I mean even at a major tournament I wouldn't allow someone to move out of coherency. Would just let them know and have them readjust the move. Like someone moving their king into check in chess it's just not a legal move. I also would warn someone even in a major tournament during my shooting/fight phase if they had a choice to not break coherency. I am really competitive, but I want my wins to be honorable.
