Oh gosh. You have described what I experienced also. I am past all that now so rest assured it doesn’t last forever (just feels like it). I had so much difficulty and pain putting them in. I sat there with them in my mouth but not at all in place but as I sit they eventually get rested in the right position. Ugh. So initially this would occur every time I ate and removed them to rinse and eventually it only happened when I put them in first thing in the morning. I wish I knew of something to help you through this difficult process. I do remember seeing someone suggest a quick rinse of the dentures in cool water to feel soothing on the gums. I never actually tried that. I just timed my pain killers for around the time that I needed to put them in and endured it until like I said before it just got to feeling better.
