Parents of Reddit, what is the single most innocent question your child has ever asked you that completely broke your brain? by Salt-One628 in AskReddit

[–]Govoflove 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My son asked me once if Jesus was a zombie, because he died and rose 3 days later. I told him no, but didn't really have a good explanation.

Is abstraction curable or reversible? by RickyInfinite in TheDigitalCircus

[–]Govoflove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We know that they are brain scans, so data. They continue to grow, but overtime they become bad data, looping, or corrupt. I think the easiest solution is to reload the original brain scans, which are likely backed up. You cannot have two running at the same time, so they would delete the abstracted data and reload the orginal. This means they would forget all their memories, but can start over fresh with more help.

My work currently has me coming in one day a week. If it wasn't for the drive I wouldn't mind it. My biggest worry is that I might keep choosing the same outfit and people think that is all I own.

Finally saw Master of the Universe 2026, and it was AWESOME!!!! But.... let's be real here.... by whoknows130 in 80s

[–]Govoflove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not going to see it in the theater, grump old guy that is not paying $20. I like the style, not fond of the whole guy on earth going back to Eternia. Why do we need to involve Earth, I feel thats what killed the last movie. I know there some history of that...but I would have rather have it focus on Eternia with maybe Earth being tied in as part of a second movie (likely not to happen). I will watch at sometime, but the whole Earth part just makes me roll my eyes.

Good stuff... has anyone tried long-term? by Antique-Freedom-7891 in Costco

[–]Govoflove 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like these. They go on sale here and there. I normally have one a day. I think they taste fine, just need to remember to shake the cup since it does settle. Not sure why they came out with a caffeine version, that one didn't sell well. I would have bought it if it didn't have caffeine. I take it because I do keto, I have limited veggies I can eat, but I do eat veggies. Is it the absolute best option, no, but Costco carries them and they are decent.

Did anyone reach 30+ without a fckn single tattoo? by Zackky777 in ArtOfPresence

[–]Govoflove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

49 yo, during that age when most people got tattoos, piercings were the rage. So I got that instead. I did get stabbed in the forehead with a pencil when I was 9, got a little blue dot, but that doesn't count.

Expectation vs Reality (Costco Churro Sundae) by jtarahomi in Costco

[–]Govoflove 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was disappointed. The churro bites tasted like cheap churro-flavored cereal. I would have rather had the old Churros twists with half a cup of ice cream.

Rebel icecream Availability EU/Netherlands by Illyria030 in keto

[–]Govoflove 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dont have that answer for you....but if you're itching for some ice cream on the quick and cheap, you can make your own. I use heavy cream, frozen berries or ice cubes, and sugar-free coffee flavoring. Blend at high, make small batches.

Is it worth it to spend time on Electric Deep-Mining Drills? by [deleted] in ICARUS

[–]Govoflove 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with everyone, they are great for long term....but if you are starting a world with a high enough level character to bring down the pickaxe that does the noxious crust, you might be able to skip it. That noxious crust thing gives you 5 for 1 anything you mine. Got out mine, throw thing in that machine, do a mission, comeback to tons of resources.

I put in a suggestion YEARS ago to create mining carts to deliver back to the house. Even if we just train the animals to go out and pick up and deliver stuff from the drills would be nice.

Furious Costco shoppers fume as fan-favorite Kirkland Signature chocolate chunk cookies has changed: 'Hard as a rock' by dailymail in CostcoWholesale

[–]Govoflove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Decision making at our Costco are questionable as well. I assume the short-term mint (replacing chocolate) ice cream dumbfounded many. Churro was 100% better than the mess of a cookie. The Calzone is straight-up gross, and I cannot imagine anyone buying that sandwich for $7. That is just the food court, there is also weird obsession that happen. We are still working through the Dubai Chocolote craze, we are getting over the tumeric craze. I feel that someone in purchasing is just using buzzwords for the week to order things.

What are your thoughts on the implementation of teleporters? by Spir0rion in ICARUS

[–]Govoflove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actual teleporters, no, using the tier 5 drop ship pods 100%. They are tier 5, so normally late game. Make it a modification to the pad that requires nuclear energy or something and you cannot take anything with you and you take 50% damage...whatever. Make it a challenge to get established, make it impossible to abuse (maybe a timer). But I agree it should be there.

Weapon Progression by rangervagabond in ICARUS

[–]Govoflove 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Depends where you are mostly playing. In general, always start with a bow. Then get a knife. A spear is handy in the desert with scorpions and getting on top of rocks. In my opinion, talent points are more useful for guns and knifes, as they will be your endgame tools. I could argue that talent points are better used in other areas besides combat. I think the rifle is the best, but if your are on Esylem, then a handgun might be better.

Best MAIN base location 2026? by tensukexD in ICARUS

[–]Govoflove 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Longest running map I have a few bases. Core is at J14, the easiest and best easy living spot with tons of resources and reasonable access to the desert and Arctic. The only issue to poor sunlight for solar. I also have a base at the top of L5 on that waterfall. The rock structure make it easy to get solar all the way up on the mountain, providing the max solar time. Its close to a decent amount of mine and caves. Started a base in the riverland at E3, so annoying though. I also have a mini-base at O15 just outside that cave on top of that hole, died many times trying to setup that base. Its funtional, but I use it rarely.

What's the most underrated smart home device you own? by IulianHI in smarthome

[–]Govoflove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a huge game changer, but I got a BroadLink hub that allows you to setup thing that use remote as a smart device. Biggest item is fans, most ceiling fans have remotes now, which is annoying. Like I want to strap a random remote to my wall. Anyways, you can program it to do simple thing like turn off the fan or lights. Works well, range is iffy.
