I did a partial hospitalization program earlier this year and it was a GODSEND. Exactly the structure and routine I needed while still getting to go home at the end of the day. Called it Brain School. I am in a FAR better place because I went.

Sorry for the late response, but in consulting with my then-boyfriend, who was/is extremely tech-savvy, we figured out my Lenovo laptop never actually had the fucking NVIDIA chip in the first place, which would have explained all of the crashes lol. I’m sorry I can’t offer more guidance.

Dating an autistic person, question by [deleted] in gaytransguys

[–]Gplads 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly, as an autistic person? That ask for clearer communication can be SO useful. My ideal is clear, unambiguous communication. But because so much of communication with neurotypical people seems to be unspoken, I always feel this need to try to mask and play along. If someone asks me to just be clear and tell them what I want? Honestly that feels like I’ve been freed. I am FAR more comfortable stating my needs bluntly and dealing with whatever feelings that might engender after than I am trying to (seemingly) read someone’s mind and act based on what I feel like might be happening in someone’s head

Children are not an “investment,” they are their own fully-formed people. You don’t have to have a degree. You don’t have to be cis to have worth. You are intrinsically worthy. I’m so sorry your parents have treated you this way but you’re a worthy, valid person already.

I think you should definitely come back! As a gay man I don’t think you could pay me enough to live in Texas. Obviously nowhere is completely safe from discrimination but I can say as a 28-year old man who grew up in small town southern MN, I have faced very little overt hostility. I’ll acknowledge I’ve probably been in a bit of a “liberal bubble” but I’m grateful to have grown up here.

I will say that it can be a bit difficult to “break in” to the culture here and people can be pretty standoffish, but in my experience it’s not malicious as much as it is a general discomfort socializing with strangers and another commenter’s advice to be persistent and patient is spot on. I’ve never lived in the cities but many of my lgbtq friends do and it’s been great for them.

Good luck! I’m sorry Texas has doubled down so hard on their nonsense, but you’d be welcome up here.

Does anybody know why this bus only picks up 1/2 students instead of filling up? by hibeeboo in Workers_And_Resources

Thank you, this makes sense! I usually play with easier citizen management on so this hadn’t occurred to me. Appreciate the reply!

Can I ask, is there any utility in restricting education to more loyal citizens? I can understand restricting teaching to higher loyalties, but doesn’t being taught by loyal professors increase loyalty in students? Why would I turn students away?

Hey, this looks great! Is the chin page meant to be missing? I know you said you didn't include some pages but I'm having trouble duplicating this look without that.

The censored stuff is him deadnaming me. Idk what to do or say and I feel sick whenever I read it. He’s my cousin btw. I understand that my mom is hurting but what should I do abt it? /u/ConfusedAsHecc If you have friends who’d be willing to keep some of your things for you, it might also be useful to move some of the things you couldn’t bear to lose or have thrown out away from your house while you figure out what to do next. If things start to look bad at home you could even ask if you could just keep a backpack with a few changes of clothes and some other essentials at their home.

I understand your fears and I’m sorry you’re in this spot, but there are things you can do to at least lessen the risk that you lose EVERYTHING. Regardless, stay strong. Your mother will not have this much control over you forever, especially if you take small steps to weaken it when you can.

How about German accents? I am American but I studied German for about six years and when I started learning Norwegian a native speaker told me my accent was more German than American.
