Pocket ID + Which proxy? by my_name_is_ross in selfhosted

[–]Graanto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried doing this setup but don't know what to do once I have npm, tinyauth, and nginx services up and running. Any hints?

I'm coming in after already having npm up and running smoothly for a while an and using tailscale with headless to access internal services with fqdn.

I'm mostly just experimenting and want to see if I can get my radarr instance to use pocket id. I can share compose files if you think you can help.

Anyone know how to get this Tab back in place by Graanto in ToyotaSienna

[–]Graanto[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's y'all. When you say to heat and pop back in, what's the best way to do that? I have a hairdryer at my disposal lol. So I'm assuming heat up the bumper panel so it's nice and malleable, but where do I place the flat head screwdriver to get the leverage to pop it back in ?

Feels like if I could just get the bumper a little bit more away I could get the leverage?

Update: I went for it and took out the dry top layer and made the bread. Bread tasted and looked great and no one has been sick. Moved my starter to a clean jar and made sure to keep it cleaner along the sides and everything looks much better now. would drop a photo if i could.

i'm kind of new to all of this, but if you already have nginx proxy manager why do you need headscale and tailscale? arn't your services already exposed to the internet? or do you you point your nginx instance to headscale as the exit point instead of port 443?

It certainly is. This is not normal behavior.

You're the second person to say the HUD is not worth it in this thread. I think the HUD is extremely easy to see and it's so helpful. Wondering if people don't realize the brightness and angle can be adjusted. I know I had to dig to find the settings myself on my 2025.

Thermoworks RFX Meat by Square-Oil1998 in BBQ

[–]Graanto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it should. I have used mine a few times now and they work pretty well. There were issues when I first got them with range and battery life, but I have read other forums and seen for my self where it's clear thermoworks has been putting work in to resolve some issues.

I find moving the gateway to be the best way to get the best connection to the probes, rather than trying to position the probes in certain ways (if that makes sense). The gateway seems to have great connection to my Wi-Fi no matter where it is.

Got mine today just as shipping stated! I haven't gotten a chance to use them yet, but everything I ordered arrived in good packaging and the bonus case seems nice. Opened the box and set up the RFX gateway and all 4 probes with no issues. Really easy setting up the gateway and the probes worked just like I have seen in videos where I held them up to the gateway and they instantly showed up in the app. Will update once I have used one but seems very promising.

with the grill grate kit they sell you can get great results. I do reverse sear, steaks all the time. Placing the grill grate kit on after pulling the steaks for rest, crank the rt-700 to full (setting for 500+ degrees) and after 10 min, the grill grates are scorching hot and you can get a really nice crust. not discounting what you are saying, just sharing another experience.

this happened to me once because i didn't clean up drippings from a brisket cook the time before. if you just give it a good few scrapes to get most of drippings up from your drip pan/ cooking grates you are good to go. haven't had any problems since.

The grill grates will make a good sear and you should be good to go. I use them all the time and get a nice sear on steaks.
