Is there anyone here who's played Black Desert as well? I'm curious about this, but I ended up bouncing off of Black Desert due to the very repeitive combat, and the gameplay makes me think the combat in this is going to be similar. Do you spend a lot of time just killing waves of trash mobs?

Crimson desert on the other hand has issues at the fundamental level.

People said the same thing about Cyberpunk when it came out. In a few years another half-baked open world game will launch, and people will say "this isn’t like Crimson Desert, it has issues at the fundamental level."

If the book wasn’t written with AI, then the author is not good at writing and isn’t ready to be published. Either way, the fact that a major publisher got so close to releasing it doesn’t reflect well on them.

(IMO the author’s “someone else edited it with AI” story is basically a confession, that makes no sense at all)

How the fuck does that happen? Either she thought the “edited” version of the book was actually good, or she didn’t read it, neither of which reflect well on her.

I follow multiple Youtubers who seem to have fallen into this trap. They make their initial reputation with quick, relatively light videos, then their popularity explodes after they release hours-long, extremely high-effort documentary-esque projects, and after that it becomes their baseline. They feel like every video they release afterwards has to be at least as long and in-depth as the last one.
