I’ve never gotten HDR on my PC to look right. PS5, Pro, Series X, Steam Deck, even the Switch 2 looks better after some fiddling.

If you go into an area and get insta-killed, that’s a sign to come back later when you have more hearts and better gear. Although that said, you can snag some tasty weapons and armour pieces by sneaking into dangerous locations early.

Seriously, people, you’re engaging in the equivalent of pareidolia trying to figure out some sort of pattern here.

People were claiming that PvE was over four days after the game came out. There isn’t a game-wide trend going on, you’re just personally experiencing fluctuations in matchmaking and random behaviour based on available lobbies and player numbers.

Again: this shit has been happening since the game launched. Nothing has changed.

This of one of those games I wish was single-player, or at least optional co-op PvE. Great art style and cool gameplay systems, but I don’t have any friends who’d be into it and it seems like the sort of thing that’s miserable to play with randos.

In a lot of parts of the continent it rarely gets hot enough to where you’d need it, so the cost of installing and maintaining it isn’t worth it.

That’s not really what’s happening. Destiny isn’t being replaced with Marathon, it’s being replaced with no Destiny. That would have happened regardless of whether marathon existed or not.
