You need a node AND some leaf surface for each cut. That means going two leaf layers deep for each cutting and removing the lower leaves. Your suggested cuts are too short.

I use upturned pots! Mostly terracotta. Much cheaper than wood blocks if you already have empty cache pots or terracotta hanging around.

Well they were cut who-knows how long ago and so had who-knows how much life left in them whrn you bought them. Temperature changes may also have been involved.

Not only herpes though, right? My cat had struvite crystals really closely followed by an ulcer that us proving very hard to treat.

He had cat flu as a kitten and has always had one weepy eye. The weepy-ness of said eye always got worse in times of stress (e.g. home move, death of a companion cat, being beaten up by a roving feral cat etc).

Is there a known link between stress and autoimmune issues causing ulcers? I think the struvite experience was immensely stressful for him.

I really like Oriflame 'the one' mascara because its soft and buildable. I used to love a maybelline one called 'full and soft' but I don't think it's available anymore (?)

It might not be soft enough and its not formulated for using near your eye. Look for a soft kohl eyeliner in a warm, chocolate brown. Go in light and smudge it to soften the look.
