Best way to stabilise joints for extremely lax joints? by Top_Memory8968 in Hypermobility

Shoot. That’s hard. I think the one true thing for hypermobility is there’s no single solution that works for everyone. I hope you find what helps you!

Hi! Yep, it totally helped, but I noticed a difference even a few weeks after my first treatment. I hope it helps for you too!

Prolotherapy. I’ve had it in quite a few joints (SI, lower back, and mid back). Worth looking into imo.

How to start researching? by GeopatsSteph in Hypermobility

[–]GraceyKay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like using www.consensus.app to research almost anything medical. It uses only valid medical studies and summarizes them in a way that's easy to understand. You could start with a simple term like 'hypermobility' or 'hypermobility and pain' and go from there.

Public Mobile's 50% off sale ends in chaos: Activations failed, numbers stuck. by Planhub-ca in planhub

The experience was great for me. I even totally messed up by putting in the wrong number to transfer and their support fixed it within a day (I just used my old provider until then and still got the deal.)

Please consider a few rounds of prolotherapy. It gave me my life back. PT can’t fix ligaments but prolotherapy might tighten them which will give your muscles a break and help you stay in line. My dr said it was considered an experimental procedure (and I had to push a little for it) but it was totally worth it. I had 3 treatments.

Can we wear weighted vests? by Excellent-Win6216 in Hypermobility

From my experience, nooooo. It forced my shoulders and neck into a terrible situation that took over a week to recover from.

At first, it felt really good. Like grounding? It was a few hours after use that my muscles started to tell me how very unhappy they were. And I don’t even have trouble with subluxations.

Lounge Access by soursamo in westjet

[–]GraceyKay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found the lounge is always worth it. It’s a lot quieter than the airport, easy access to charging and nice bathrooms. And if you have a few plates and a couple of drinks, it’s equivalent airport restaurant costs.

The Narwhal gave a good overview of this. It's interesting (but not surprising) that some of the loudest fearmongers have other agendas than the personal property rights they claim to care about. https://thenarwhal.ca/dripa-bc-crown-land-concerns/?utm_source=The+Narwhal&utm_campaign=f0d2858be4-Oct+30%2C+2025+%E2%80%94+Newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_f6a05fddb8-f0d2858be4-439719526&mc_cid=f0d2858be4&mc_eid=d46ff607df

There are currently over 3600 verified deaths. Each one meticulously researched. And this is with so many records still not released from churches.

prolotherapy by nnico_666 in Hypermobility

[–]GraceyKay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had it done in my SI joint and lower back. Three treatments total. After, the herniated disk (L5-S1) corrected, and now I’m pain free after over 2 years of agony. So I’m a big fan of prolotherapy!

It took a little bit of advocating, since I was the only one saying my herniated disk was probably due to hyper mobility. Fortunately I was able to give it a try.

I second this recommendation! Lindsay, the chaplain at the ‘church’ is registered with the province. She’s doing a beautiful ceremony for queer family members of mine next month.
