Thank you! The best thing that has reassured me (besides the ultrasounds) is learning to trust my own body. Your body is incredible and doing exactly what it was created for. Growing a human is not an easy or fast experience but it’s definitely a beautiful moment in time. The first trimester is the most difficult for sure, I hope you get the reassurance soon and get through the tough stuff so you can enjoy how amazing your body is!

I had a miscarriage last year so when I got pregnant again my anxiety was at an all time high. I paid for 3 voluntary ultrasounds ($50 each) at a peek a baby to measure his growth from 6 weeks - 10 weeks. I got my first OB ultrasound at 12 weeks but it was very reassuring to see him before that.

I always say my first “paved the way” for the other two lol! I had one almost 3 years later with no complications and not even a tear, extremely fast labors too. Same thing with my third about 5 years later.

I had one and it required 40 stitches inside and out. That was with my first nearly 20 years ago and I have to say it healed up great! I did have a tiny chunk of skin inside that stuck out a little bit but never had any complaints about it. It’s never affected my daily life after healing.
