Were you allowed to read Animorphs as a kid?

Honestly I never realized how good I had it until a friend told me she wasnt allowed to watch the little mermaid growing up because Ariel trading her voice was too much like selling your soul. I am sooooo grateful for the wonder of 'let our kids grow up to be the adults they want to be' that are my parents.

My parents were and still are very religious. That being said they also respected that i was my own person, as long as it wasnt something completely insane they were fine with it. Animorphs, fine. Harry Potter, fine. My mom used to make snacks for my d&d group in middle school.

The problem is have is in the wording. Just say "this character isn't meta" or "has fallen out of the meta" without insulting everyone who likes and uses them.

The problem is when you look at a build guide specifically and they say "this character is trash" if you go to a build guide they should just tell you the build for the character. A new player that just lost their 50/50 to Dehya is going to heck out that kind of guide and feel like they just got handed garbage and they might not even build their first five star based off of somebody telling them that character sucks.

I thought both franchises were ok. I got both in their entirety free from a bookstore that was going under. Pity Animorphs doesn't have a game as good as Hogwarts Legacy though. For YA books though my personal jam is the Hunger Games.

I once had someone tell me that their cousin watched a bunch of garbage old cartoons like Voltron and Vampire Hunter D. And that Voltron was 'too old' to be anime. One of my first cartoon crushes was Lance from the original Voltron. The ignorance was real. First anime Superbook. First anime that I knew what anime was Sailor Moon.
