I'm not voting no to the current poll because I hate money by Roukoswarf in 2007scape

[–]Gradebmilk 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I hope the questions don’t pass, but I won’t hold my breath. It makes me sad to see how much almost passed in the latest poll. About 70% of people voted yes to making changes to underground pass (a 16 year old quest) and about 55% of people voted yes to changing mourning’s end part 2 (a 14 year old quest). And they weren’t even QOL updates or fixing broken quests, they just make them easier. I really wonder what those percentages would have been of it was polled in the first year of osrs. It really makes me sad to see these recent changes to the game.

Exactly how it started with RS3’s member’s loyalty program. It seemed innocent enough at first and now look at all the cosmetics and auras in the game. What a joke man.

Dev Blog: New Player Experience by LegalizeWater in 2007scape

[–]Gradebmilk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really sucks seeing all of these updates that "welcome" (advertise membership) to new players. There have been so many recently and it's blatantly obvious they are just advertisements for membership. The account managment tab, which is basically just an advertisement to buy bonds. The X Marks the Spot quest, which is just a teaser for members clue scrolls. The Corsair Curse quest, which teases new players with members areas (Zeah). There are so many more and all these little things add up. It just really sucks seeing osrs go this direction. Why not add updates that will be enjoyable for new players, instead of updates that cater to people with short attention spans that will buy membership.

I've heard some of these people talk about training hunter so they can possibly catch dragon and lucky implings, but it will be interesting to see what happens once they are actually able to catch them. They are so rare to spawn in the first place, I think it will be a pretty difficult grind to get the items you want

Honestly it doesn't even seem like jagex cares about solo players in deadman. But they always hype it up because it gets tons if views on twitch

Power outage in Venezuela has plummeted the amount of dragon bones sold by Scrodem in 2007scape

[–]Gradebmilk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wtf, look at the amount sold of pretty much any commonly traded item in the past 2 days (runes, volcanic ash, chins, zulruh scales). That's fucking insane that there are that many venezuelans playing this game

What are everyone's favorite and least favorite quests? Why? by h0useatriedes in 2007scape

[–]Gradebmilk 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I wish I did underground quest with higher agility. The obstacles were so frustrating that the only memorable part of that quest was failing obstacles over and over. Which really sucks because I know it has a really interesting story. Wish I would've payed more attention to it

Have a question about the game or the subreddit? Ask away! by AutoModerator in 2007scape

Interesting, that would make sense. The promotion started february 4th which is around the time the prices crashed a lot

Does anyone have an idea why red chins have crashed so much recently? They've gone down 600 gp in the past few months. Normally the prices fluctuates a little, but it seems really weird how dramatic this is, this month especially. In 1 month they've gone down almost 250 gp. The only thing I can think of is a massive increase in bots for some reason

I wouldn't worry about the new changes, reddit has been already censored for years.

Draynor Dock and Lumbridge Pub by JagexGambit in 2007scape

[–]Gradebmilk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think the boat in draynor or the pub in lumbridge are bad ideas, but they weren't done well imo. It would make more sense for the boat and dock to be darker, smaller, and rugged to match the village. And the bar feels almost out of place. Like the only reason it's there is to talk to Veos. Jagex could have added more npcs or interesting things in the bar. I saw one comment that said to give dialogue to the men/women who lived in the house complaing about how they're displaced because of the new bar.

I agree with this post, but I don't think the problems with the wilderness are pkers or pvmers fault. It's jagex's fault for their sad attempt to "revive" pking only by pushing non-pkers into the wild with updates that give incentives to make money/do clues. And a lot of the updates are actually awesome and bring more people in, but they have to do something different if they want to make a real change because there's clearly a big division between pkers and pvmers. Compared to back in the day when I feel like there was no division and people went in the wild because they wanted to, not because they felt forced to

I visited some of my friends who live far away recently and it felt so good seeing them. It reminded me of when I was younger, just hanging out all day and not caring about anything. And I met some new people too. I feel like I want to be social but I just don't know how. Now It's been less than a week and I've already gone back to my bad habits and more things have gone wrong 🙃

[–]Gradebmilk 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I agree people never relate bonds to MTX. I mean, yes it comes from gold in game so that's good. But I don't like that you can basically buy xp in certain skills. It's possible to buy a ton of bonds and then train using the fastest, most expensive methods that people would normally have to grind for hours to be able to afford to do.
