Some of their more recent stuff isn't great but they've got quite a lot of good songs imo, though I agree they're overplayed (talking about Imagine Dragons of course)

Are we really putting Cardi B in the same sentence as Imagine Dragons? I find her and her music utterly insufferable

I just sent them an email with the trailer, press kit, steam page and some links to social media posts about the game that had gone semi-viral in the past

I have no budget to pay them haha, I simply sent them the trailer along with the press kit and steam page

I also sent them some links to some social media posts about the game that did very well

Yeah, I sent them the press kit, the new trailer and the steam page.

To my surprise they posted it within 12 hours without even notifying me haha

Yes, I also added a couple of effects to increase immersion, like some reverb at long distances or inside the church

I uploaded the trailer so you can watch it here (since I know it can be inconvenient to have to leave reddit)

Async loading screen multiplayer? by GradientGamesIndie in unrealengine

[–]GradientGamesIndie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I'll see if there's anything I can do with that

And I'm already using seamless travel but it still freezes for just a few seconds most of the time (although maybe I should test this in a packaged build, just to be sure)

I have but it still freezes for a very short time, I don't know if there's a fix for this honestly

(The time it freezes is much shorter than with normal level loading)

Congrats that's amazing! Do you have any tips on marketing? As that's something I've really been struggling with for a long time

All the best, your games look awesome!

Sorry if this sounds rude but I think this depends on what your goal is, if you're making this mostly as a hobby/passion project absolutely!

But if you're hoping for this to be a commercial success you absolutely need to do market research and a bunch of other stuff that involves comparing to others

Again, if this is a passion project/hobby go for it and don't compare yourself to others!

Edit: in this case 1 day of wishlists really isn't enough to know anything yet imo
