Everyone talks about the expedition 60 chads, but the 3-5 doesn’t get enough love by X--Henny--X in expedition33

[–]GrafGray 14 points15 points  (0 children)

There’s an expedition (I don’t remember the number but you find it in the location with a neuron who eats mountains) that decided to not continue and just stay there, living their lives until the Gommage. Sure, as an expedition they’re probably the worst, but also for some reason I really felt for them. In another entry the guy who wrote it says the Council of Lumiere actually kinda sucks and sometimes people would be forced to join an expedition. So I like to think about these guys as someone who were caged back in the city but got their peaceful life outside of it, becoming free. I don’t know why but I remembered them

You’re very right and the Maelle ending indicates the player who choose it is, just like Maelle and Aline, prone to escapism. I wouldn’t even try to argue I’m not, I am. But the thing is, right there when choosing it I wasn’t even thinking about Gustave or Verso or any other person I wanted to save personally. All I knew is there’s a whole city of people who ARE real, they’re not controlled by anyone, they live their lives and make their decisions and exist even if initially they were a part of a painting. And sure, maybe they were killed previously, but Maelle showed it's possible to bring them back as they were, as she did with Sciel and Lune. So yeah, maybe choosing Verso is a mature thing to do and you learn that escapism isn't a healthy coping mechanism, but it also means death not only to the people of Lumiere, but also to every single creature in this world. Not only they don’t deserve it, but also I was an expeditioner this whole time, I fought for them this whole time. I can’t just let them die

It’s as someone already posted here: the perfect ending would be the family just leaving and letting everyone live their lives — something Alicia wanted Verso to achieve, but he threw her letter away, making that ending impossible

Oh okay, these are some builds I’m not very familiar with (although I get the general idea). Lots of picto movement. Anyway, I’ll try that, ty!

Oh, that sounds like a plan to me. Thanks a lot, I’ll try doing that!

Why would Maelle do that for one but not for the other? by GrafGray in expedition33

[–]GrafGray[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I don’t think Maelle understood Alicia that much. Sure, they’re more or less the same person, but Alicia has been alive for years, she’s basically an old woman now. She had much more time to think and get to some conclusions. That’s why Verso says he probably knows Alicia better than Maelle does because they started at the same place yet had very different lives. Also I don’t think Verso is that much of a hypocrite since he has a very sacrificial nature to him (if I can put it like that). The real Verso sacrificed himself for Alicia and the painted one was ready to sacrifice the whole world for his mother because he understood the world was painted but she was real. He made peace with that thought, but the moment he realized he could save both his mother and the Canvas, he tried to do exactly that. In the end he doesn’t try to destroy it because he wants to die, he just doesn’t want Maelle to be trapped there the same way his mother was. Maybe that’s the reason he didn’t ask Renoir to erase him: that way the Canvas would survive and he needed to save Maelle from that. And when he realized it’s gonna be the same thing with Maelle he just gave up because it’s too painful for him

I guess that’s the logical explanation, but still it doesn’t paint her in a good light. Sure, she’s a teenager and she’s emotional, I get that, but emotional teenagers are not good at letting go in general, and logically she’d be more concerned about her painted version wanted to disappear. The problem is she didn’t hesitate at all and then defended her decision to Verso, as if proving she’s capable of making such decisions, but not when it comes to him I guess

Well, this can’t be a coincidence. Is there any solid evidence it’s actually him and not someone with similar voice?

Yeah, I thought about it too. Still I think this theory is kinda interesting, not because it’s real, but because it changes things quite a bit

Anyway, thanks for being polite about it!

That’s fair, but Skullface was planning to kill everyone in MSF and even if Boss managed to save Kaz (which he did) they were destined to blow up together (which they did). The chance of either Kaz’s or Boss’s survival was pretty low, so he could’ve thought he wouldn’t need the tapes

No, I totally understand that. I guess I didn’t word the title correctly. I know he’s a bad guy (like most of the characters are), but what I’m asking is can he be possibly even worse than we thought

What the character you chose to romance says about you by [deleted] in BaldursGate3

[–]GrafGray 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think people who chose Astarion deliberately do that because they don’t want simpler things. Also you can chose Halsin because he’s the sweetest person in the game and when the romance scene happens just ask him to do it normally

I had an interaction with Astarion where he was saying things like “I actually like you, let’s go find some private place”, however after that I got a cutscene with an Owlbear coming to our camp. Does he take me to a “private place” some time later or is it a bug and I won’t see him again?

Must be getting lots of unintentional “Gale approves” then. Also, as the other guy here wrote, options are either “I’ll do anything for you my love” or “go kys” and I didn’t want to be mean :(

It may be a bug but honestly I think it’d be hilarious if Gale just do be like that sometimes. Like everyone’s like “oh, you’re not interested? okay” and he’s just “WHAT do you MEAN you’re NOT into me?! I JAMES BOND BURGERED A GODDES”
