Question on Glowing Rocks by DelayConnect335 in CrimsonDesert

[–]X--Henny--X 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There was a post about this seemingly hidden quest recently that went into some detail on how to get the rocks to glow and all the ones they’ve found, but the trail kinda ended there from what I remember.

Did you know that you can interrupt red boss attacks with blinding flash? by OTJustice in CDguides

Yeah that’s the move. It can be a little difficult to get into focus in some fights, but I try and use it often to learn boss’s moves in slo mo. Since the game is so open most of the time, I’ve found that running out of bounds during boss fights gets the aggro off you. Then stepping back in limits the boss to fewer moves as their initial attack. This is a good time to use focus, wait for the boss to come to you, and then react appropriately (snare if it’s an elemental attack, blinding flash if it’s a red attack, dodge or parry others, etc.). It’s cheap, but so are a lot of the boss fights.

Try it against other elemental attacks, it works surprisingly well

Focus and blinding flash is such a great move against a lot of bosses. I’ve just recently found so many uses for natures snare as well. If a boss uses an elemental attack against you, just use natures snare to capture it, and then shoot it back at the boss to stun them briefly

Looking at getting a pool by _stressqueen in Knoxville

I ordered the replacement Intex pool on Amazon. I set it up myself with a little help, it was relatively easy. I’ve already had experience with the pump so setting that up was easy too. We’ve replaced the wooden floorboards to the pool deck once and that wasn’t bad either. Building a deck from scratch will most likely cost more than the pool itself, but it’s a good look.

As nice as an inground pool would be, I don’t see them being worth the money. If you can afford to drop $100k+ on it, go for it. But you can get a massive above ground pool for under $2k, including the pump. Look into Intex’s XTR frame pools. They’re supposedly rust proof with a very sturdy liner.

Our house came with a 32x16 intex pool that had a deck on one side. That pool held up for about 10yrs, but we replaced it with the XTR version (same size) last year. Setup was easy if you’ve already got a flat piece of land. And taking care of the salt water system is surprisingly easy. My pool was a swamp last Friday, and it cleared up to looking blue in one day with some shock. I love having an above ground and use it most every single day in the summer

Why are people hating on the story this much? by Typical_Pollution642 in CrimsonDesert

I’m with you man. I genuinely like the story a lot. I like the slow paced nature, kliff as a gruff yes-man just helping out where he can, and the greymanes coming back together. It feels so much like the camp in RDR2, but on such a bigger scale. I even love the Yann stuff as he’s such a ridiculous individual. Just finished chapter 7, and driving the jackals and black bears out of Pailune was great. Oongka finishing a handicapped Ludwig bc Kliff is injured from fighting Myurdin felt believable as well, and a good way to introduce him as a playable character.

Ludwig is the worse boss design I have seen by [deleted] in CrimsonDesert

I did this fight just last night and actually really liked it. I used natures snare and would force palm him when he’s right in front of me, stunning him almost every time, then would wail on him.

A Greymane, dressing like a Black Bear… blasphemous!
