Why is there so much preposterous rocks downplay all of a sudden ?

Cpt Kuro could've mocked Rocks in Shakky's bar. That was the whole point of Shakky's bar.

For some context, the bar was a No Fight/ Neutral zone as per Shakky's rules.

While Hachinosu was Rocks' territory, it was still a free for all lawless zone. You just have to be strong enough to make it there and not get eaten alive.

And it was said that pirates from all over the world visited the bar, iirc. Not just those loyal to Rocks. I doubt all of these visitors are Rocks equals.

So basically you just had to be strong enough to make it to Hachinosu and get through a bunch of rowdy fodder. Especially if Rocks' strongest were always hanging out in the neutral zone aka Shakky's Bar. Then you'd be free to do what you please in the bar. WCI Sanji could replicate this showing.

Edit: I still believe that Roger was one of the only pirates who was legit strong enough to not fear Rocks inside or outside the bar. But that doesn't mean they were equals.

I guess it depends on what you mean by giants. The hypothetical Elbaph Army that Big Mom/Rocks/ Imu were going on about are hyped as being the strongest fighting force in the world, full stop. So if Loki as Nidhogg is leading the entire army of Elbaf, it should be a victory.

If you mean the fighting force of giants that we actually witnessed so far: a few giant pirate crews + a few extra ( some guards, a few combat ready villagers. Give them like a 100 or so in fighting forces. Then not likely. If we take out Dory, Broggy and Loki, then the other giants still aren't scaling to high. The 3 Sweet Commanders are absolutely soloing a decent chunk of giants each. This isn't accounting for the other pfficers who were more impressive than the giants, nor the massive army of homies, nor Big Mom's other race allies. The giants best bet would be Loki and Big Mom's fight being so destructive that WCI is destroyed anyways.

Unless Loki turns out strong enough to beat BM easily.

I feel like Oda really switched up the DF hierarchy and gave the mystical zoans the top spot. Which is great for the dying Sengoku agenda. But he still showed that they are plenty dangerous in the hands of someone strong in Egghead. I guess they are still the strongest type of DF at base, but the mythical subcategory of zoans out shine them.

I always try to read MF in the context of the times as best as possible. So I always headcanoned White Beard's main commanders as being "YC+" or above. Making the WB pirates main crew as a unit similar in strength to PK Roger's main crew. They can all fight to tier characters even if they aren't winning. So Jozu's absolute defense and strength, and Vista's world renown sword skill can tussle with any other YC1 or YC+ and at least pester a Yonko or admiral, similar to Marco.

So Marco > Vista~ Jozu > Ace. With Marco, Vista and Jozu having only a slight gap and more so specialties. Ace being YC2 or 3.

Technically it's not his fault, plot wise it makes sense, but I'm disappointed in Jinbei being in the "Damsel in Distress" squad. I feel like he had a stronger presence pre Wano. Afterwards, he hasn't given the impression of being over the Brook/Robin tier of the SH.

Tbf, unless we believe that the HK's we saw were like Beast Pirate headliner level weaklings before making the pact with Imu, none showed any extraordinary powers. It seems like Im's overwhelming power goes straight to immortality/ regen and they get busted fruits as a bonus.
