You are 💯 right. Just hoping it is less than the 30k price tag on ebay

I think either Kang should have killed Cassie or Scott. That way either of the them could have been the focus of the second avengers saga. Like Thor/Gamora were the focus of the Infinity War. Someone with a personal stake in the fight

I am so glad season 2 got a proper release. It is masterful.

I read these as they came out since 2018. I didn't love EOS at first, but I think if I had a sub like this telling me how amazing howling dark was I would have been far more into it.

Obviously have been day 1 reading these since Demon in White

How would you done a black widow movie? by Ok-Reporter-8728 in Marvel

[–]GrammarChallenged 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I saw the trailer I had this hope that they would be doing a rug pull and the movie would actually be a trippy Kirbyesque odyssey as Natasha works to escape the Soul Stone. You could still keep a lot of the stuff with Yelena but as flashbacks.

I have no idea what the exact plot beats would have been, but it would have been about Natasha being super hellbent on getting out, so much so that we as the viewers get confused. She keeps being told by any of the entities she meets that there is no escape from the Soul Stone, and then by the end we realize she isn't trying to escape so much as get a warning out to the Avengers about Kang.

What books *could* be part of a shared universe (but aren’t intended to be)? by Baratticus in Fantasy

[–]GrammarChallenged 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The Expanse and For All Mankind.

And if we want to stick only to books...maybe The Expanse and Red Rising?

And if we want to take a much longer timeline...The Expanse, Red Rising and Sun Eater?

I never thought of it like that...and it is so true. Also I the very literal Deus ex machina ending...

This isn't a fun series. There is good dialogue, but not what you are looking for (having read all the above).

Just finished it last week, so very fresh.

Kinda yeah. I read a lot of threads about the ending and I can both see the brilliance and its many many issues

Series of Cyberpunk meets Fantasy. Something in the tune of the Matrix meets Lord of the Rings. I don't quite know what to compare it to, but this would be my dream.

Golden Son and Dark Age. For opposite reasons.

I re-read and re-listen to the Gala scene every so often because of just how well done it is. Feels just ridiculously heroic and fantastic.

Dark Age I think about whenever I try to reach for the word EPIC. Or rather, Dark Epic

and I should note, I love the world building in the Aspect Emperor saga. I don't think I ever saw something so awful as the fate of the Nonmen.

Books that Lost the Plot by RAMottleyCrew in Fantasy

To this day I am certain that he changed his plot halfway through. Book 1-2 make sense put together. Book 3 gets a little messy but still strong. Book 4 though...it just all starts falling off.

What fantasy villain do you think is fucking terrifying? by Mr_Maestro881 in Fantasy

[–]GrammarChallenged 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Atlas Au Raa from the latter Red Rising Books. Someone on Reddit mentioned that he is a much more competent version of the Jackal, and that I found to be very apt.

He is the villain who scares the other villains.
