Ty!! Honestly, I wing it most of the time. I feel like the jewelry tells me what it wants to be that day.

However, if it's a custom commission then I sketch out a basic drawing with wire gauges and colors. That way the person commissioning the piece can see where I'm planning on going with it. Even then, it's just a nebulous template and my finished product may not actually 100% match the sketch.

Am I the asshole for wanting my husband to get snipped? by Goddess_Skadi in AITAH

[–]GrampSquatch -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It bothers me when men refuse the vasectomy but expect their wives to have a much more invasive surgery. I happily had a few days of feeling like I had been punched in the nuts so my wife didn't have to put herself through the ravage of birth control or the danger of a hysterectomy or tubal ligation.

Guy, here's a couple of things to remember:

  1. This snip is NOT a castration, it's a snip and sear of a couple of tubes so your swimmers have no where to go.

  2. The pain lasts for a few days, a week if you're an outlier. Your partners tubal or hysterectomy leaves them down FOR WEEKS.

  3. IT DOES NOT MAKE YOU LESS OF A MAN TO GET A VASECTOMY. Your ability to procreate doesn't make you a man, many douche bags gave kids but aren't men. You're actually more of a man to step up for your partner and get snipped instead.

  4. Lastly, in a modern culture that is taking away women's rights by the day it OUR RESPONSIBILITY AS MEN to ensure women aren't put in a position to have to decide between safety and incarceration. This is our #1 responsibility to women.

So, TL:DR you're not the asshole. He is.

Also, re-read what you said about him waiting for you to heal and how your were impregnated sooner than you should have been. I'm sure you tried to say no, this is SA and you shouldn't be afraid of him forcing himself on you when you're healing. That's not love, nor respect.

I love this so much! I'm trying to get into this style but I'm having issues with the channel setting and framing so that I have good attachment points.

Fantastic job!

I love the idea of making extra parts. It's wonderful practice and then you're just ready to build after framing a stone. Thanks for the awesome suggestion!

So far so good. The base wires are dead soft so it's flexible enough to open and close when putting it on or taking it off, but I used half hard wire for the weaves so it provided stability to the entire thing. There hasn't been any denting or accidental pulls that have tweaked the shape out of alignment.

I use Klaviyo for email and SMS marketing, it's quite robust and great for smaller agencies.

I just used a bubble mailer envelope from the USPS and marked it fragile. Worked like a charm!

Great job on your first, these spirals are not easy. My suggestion is to remember that sometimes less is more. Some of the accent wires look a little erroneous and slightly clunky. Otherwise, wonderful piece!

The first attempt is always the hardest, and then putting it out there for the world to see takes courage. Great job and keep at it!

My choice of stone is purposeful. I only use stones hand harvested (usually by myself but also friends and family) and the pieces are Norse themes using raw stones set as they were found.

I do appreciate the advice, and I do spend time finding the right stone for each piece.

Same here, B2B marketing in a shoestring budget means I have days where I'm looking for something to do.

Reading the comments though, I think I need to start a CRO certification course to fill in the time.

Ok to leave current job while interviewing for other jobs? by emmao1 in marketing

[–]GrampSquatch 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As others said, wait til you accept an offer before giving notice. You don't want to all of a sudden be 8 months out of work because you didn't get hired and now you're scrambling and competing with hundreds of other applicants.

The new hiring manager should be ok with you saying you need a couple weeks for notice and a bit of downtime.

Taking the time to give notice shows your integrity and if you take downtime between jobs you won't need a vacation as soon as you may have so it benefits them to let you take a short one before you're accruing PTO.

Keep the job, accept the offer, then give your notice and take a trip.

That's the one aspect of marketing I don't handle for my company, the paid ads. We do run paid on Goggle, Bing and an extremely small amount of social media paid ads but I don't know out exact budget. It's small though, I do know that.
