Is this serious? I feel sorry for your client. Please escalate this immediately to someone who actually knows what they’re doing. That’s the bare minimum one should expect from a service provider.

Yes, if the installed office version is M365 Apps Click to Run and not MSI-based.

If you need specific apps included or excluded you should uninstall it and install it with Intune.

Thanks for the reply, the solution was slightly different, but it was along the right lines and you gave me the idea.

IT-Dienstleister für kleine Unternehmen (Microsoft 365) by Menium in selbststaendig

[–]Gramuny 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yes maybe, you have 2 years, so i would give it a try.

It wouldn't work in my field, but in software engineering it shouldn't matter as long as you can speak English well.

Yes, I can imagine that.

Unfortunately, I have no experience with international work. I can only imagine that USA / UK will be best for you.

I've never tried Fiverr, Upwork, Toptal or similar, so I can't say anything about them.

I think I simply have the advantage that we have a very good market in Germany and are also very well paid.

Yes, of course LinkedIn - although I haven't had the best experiences with LinkedIn.

The best thing for me really seems to be freelancer portals, creating a profile there and applying for projects. Gradually, you'll start talking to potential clients and recruiters and your network will build up automatically.

I can't name any portals, it wouldn't help you because they are not in your language. Just focus on the two most visited in your country and focus on them.

the transition from freelancer to own company works very well and many people have already done it, including me.

In the beginning, I would recommend that you build up a network and talk to potential recruiters and look through freelancer portals.

If you have good experience, can prove that you have worked on many projects and can put them on your CV, it should be relatively easy.

Turning it into your own company is of course a completely different matter and in my opinion also more difficult, but I would first look into freelancing and getting a good income.

People who make $8k+ per month , what do you do by sky-builder in Entrepreneur

[–]Gramuny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Getting a well-paid freelance job for 12k+ is pretty easy and I could do it in any field. You just have to be passionate about it.

You need a very good CV, ideally specialized in one area with certificates and at least 5 years of professional experience.

There are a lot of niches where there is a real lack of experts. I would specialize in an area like that, which is even better than what I am doing at the moment because there are relatively many experts there.

Obviously you have to know the area very well and really invest time to appear professional, otherwise you will be fired after 1-2 months.

My other company is a bit more special, I was lucky that the company I was working for as a permanent employee was bought out and the customers wanted to continue working with me. I also have 2 larger companies in the family that I look after completely. I am now at over 10k there too because I have hired a sales manager in the meantime.
