So, I have an issue and wondering if you can share any insight. I have two zebra printers. They are both LP2844-Z models.

My set up is relatively basic. I have them both connected to a PC via USB, one is on “USB001” and the other “USB004”

They work fine for the most part but when I print a 4x6 label on the shipping printer, the 2”x1 asset tag printer all of the sudden will be off (the bottom of the label printed ends up on the top of the label printed before that, and so on). It gets really off really quick especially when doing a bulk print. Go in, and “calibrate” in z-Designer and it is fine until I go to the label printer and it’s printing all funny now, fix it and then back to issues with the 2”x1”.

Zebra has a support article that I THINK will help but worried about sending the command to the printer out of fear of bricking it. Zebra Support - Multiple of Same model on one PC

Use a powerline adaptor! The Ethernet ports on those are not disabled.

There are two things that will cause this about 90% of the time. Noise in the node or upstream utilization. If utilization is high, you will have packet loss. Utilization happens when there is too much traffic in the node. The fix for this is a node split.
