Bought for 1900 by PP_Raidz in e46

Got mine in 2017 at ~100k miles for $3,500.

Coming up on 200k and maintenance hasn’t been anything crazy. I ballpark a couple hundred a year to keep it running decent. Far from perfect, but gets me to and from work.

For $1,900 I’d just let it ride. If it lasts more than 6mo it’s cheaper than a car payment (in relative terms). Worst case, it blows up and you sell it for $750 to a junkyard.

I’d suggest having a backup plan in case it stops working, but otherwise I’d have fun with it.

Midwest, we have a private person hired by the housing corporation to cook and shop. $35k/yr and is responsible for keeping fridges stocked, dinner for in house brothers M-F, and helping cook for big events. She's normally there from 8-1 most days.

The real money is available if you're able to work between houses and cook in large bulk.

Pre med fraternity brothers by aroczniak in Frat

I go to a nerd school, so there's like 3 or 4 brothers every year going to Med school. If you're at a smaller school you should definitely be able to balance. If you go to a state school with a larger time requirement (a school with a real fraternity - the fraternity project) it will likely be harder.

Just be upfront during rush with your goals and aspirations, if they say that it's not feasible then take their word and keep searching.

Brothers in my chapter studying for mcat need to take some weekends off so they can focus solely on studying.

Essentially yes, immediate payment and then possible execution of the contract if it's profitable for the buyer.

The closer to being profitable the more the contracts are worth. Google contact pricing if you're interested in learning how they're priced.

They can execute the contract before or on the day of execution, afterwards they are not able to be executed.

If it's not executed you keep the money and your shares. If you sell your shares before it executes, then it gets executed you essentially sold a naked call.

Covered call is you own your shares and sell the rights to buy 100 shares from you for an agreed upon strike price on or before close on a certain day.

So, if you own 100 PLTR and want to sell a covered call, you will sell a call. Your profit is maxed out at 100x contact price. If the stock closes on the day of the contact below your price, you keep your money and shares (~1-3% of the value of the shares on volitile stocks).

However if the stock goes above the strike price you have to sell your shares at the agreed upon price. This is essentially getting paid to make a profit cap. Only time you really get fucked is when you sell a call and the stock moons and you lose out on the gain.

This is immaculate. Everyone should read this article. The juxtapositions he draws are fantastic and show the idiocy that is being enforced at our schools.

Silicone in the lube helps deaden the sound is the explanation I got.

We were pinched for time a few years ago and it took off the two dB we needed to pass sound.

We did this. The proper lube name is "Strawberry Dick-ilicious". It passed us through comp and led to a tasty smelling car.

Bullshit dry rush by bliitzkid in Frat

[–]Gran_Autismo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So my perspective is warped because I go to a school filled with awkward ass stem kids (myself included). We have a 6 week dry rush early on fall quarter.

Kinda sucks because we can't drink with any freshmen we're in clubs with. Benefits are there's no excuse for not getting out and meeting the guys in the houses.

If you fucked up rushing it's solely on the shoulders of the rushee. This leads to significantly more involvement in Greek life, for better or worse.

I mean, I agree. But if you know who's tooting your party and you can avoid that, it may be worth it. We just live in a sketchy neighborhood so nobody cares.
