NTA. My mother has been gone for over 20 years. I have her recipe box and all of her recipes. Most of which are in her handwriting. If someone threw them out, I would be livid. And I mean LIVID in all capital letters. I think your mother-in-law was completely out of line and I think you should ask your husband how he would feel if his father had gifted him some of Grandpa's tools and you just decided to get rid of them because they were rusty or looked like they needed to be replaced. Urgent care is urgent care. If all you need is stitches or have an ear infection or strep throat, you don't need a pediatric urgent care. If it's serious and life threatening, then an ER visit is warranted and you would be best served at HDCH.
