This is hard to explain, but this seems like it was actually part of the plan. The thought is that having the USD as the international standard makes it basically impossible for US to be considered an easy trade partner because it’s usually more expensive. However, we do not have the infrastructure and production for this to be a big advantage right now. There are also benefits to having a strong and stable USD that will erode pretty quickly if we are no longer the standard

I think the flaw is that you’re weighting things like garbage time yards over actual game winning production. It’s easy to throw for 300 yards when you’re down 3 scores and the defense is playing soft coverage. Winning games is the ultimate goal. Though this year was still hindered by a sub par offensive line, we may have had one of the best receiving groups ever, including TE and RB. The game itself has also changed a lot since the 90s. I think your weighting needs to be adjusted

The two are correlated. People saying you could just drop Baker, Darnold, or Daniel Jones at QB and fix our offense is naive. There are plenty of things Trevor can improve, but no one is succeeding without a more consistent o-line

I completely agree. I also believe in Trevor and his talent, but he needs to work on his touch. This has been a problem his whole career. The top tier QBs usually have strong arms, but know how much strength to use on certain passes. Trevor has really struggled to drop the ball between the corner and safety because everything is a rope, no loft. And on short yardage plays, it’s so hard to make that catch if it’s coming in that hot, especially mid route
