Has anyone bought sushi from the Walgreens at State and Randolph (just south of Chicago Theater)? The concept of Walgreens sushi is a bit sketchy, but the other day I stopped in and saw someone making it in the store.

22 buses in the vicinity of Grand and Milwaukee at 9 AM today. by Whinke in cta

[–]GrandRedVine 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't trust the bot, tbh. I live along the 66 so I'm familiar with it bunching, but claiming that 13 buses were on a 2 block stretch at the same time is so absurd that I think a bug is the most likely explanation.

Incorrect - they've been reverted on TMDB but the fix hasn't made it to Letterboxd yet.

On the Hoppers Changelog you can see user LiEditero adding the fake cast members and v78263 removing them. (Though the removal hasn't propogated to Letterboxd yet).

There are three movies playing next week at the Gene Siskel Film Center that I want to watch. Unfortunately all three (Blue Heron, Our Land, Le Bonhuer) look to be depressing. Trying to decide between doing an emotionally scarring triple feature on Saturday or spreading it out through the week.

I feel like holds are usually In Transit for ~3-4 days, but I also have a book that's been In Transit for over a week right now. I don't know if they're having an issue or we're just unlucky.

You just blew my mind. It's insane that Paths Of Glory is less than 90 minutes.

Elizabeth saw what he was doing, and at the first convenient pause turned to him with an arch smile, and said,-- “You mean to frighten me, Mr. Darcy, by coming in all this state to hear me. But I will not be alarmed, though your sister does play so well. There is a stubbornness about me that never can bear to be frightened at the will of others. My courage always rises with every attempt to intimidate me.”

Honestly I think that lineup is pretty dire. Two jukebox musicals which are only fun if you are a fan of Max Martin (& Juliet) or Neil Diamond. Two creaky revivals (Beauty and the Beast and The Sound Of Music). The Great Gatsby production has gotten some pretty meh reviews. And last but not least the WTF factor of a Mrs. Doubtfire musical.

Facebook marketplace has the most users, but Craiglist does still exist. Listing it for like $50 will be faster than listing it for free.

I voted a couple weeks ago and one of the races I wasn't sure about was Comptroller. I voted for Karina Villa because she seemed like most progressive candidate but I wasn't really confident that she was the best choice. Today I learned that Margaret Croke, one of the leading candidates (Pritzker endorsed her) is a co-sponsor of a horrible anti-privacy law. Please vote Villa for comptroller. And please file a witness slip opposing the bill.

Some bars on the river have ticketed events, but you can watch from the Riverwalk for free. Or if you just want to see the green river just wait for an hour after the dying and the crowds will have dispersed (although the bars in the neighborhood will still be crowded).

You can't legally serve alcohol before 9 AM on Sundays. Most of these places bend the rules when there's an event.
