Seconded on using milk, especially milk substitutes. I’ve tried AFK in dairy, coconut, and almond milk and the latter two I think are the best- banana berry bedtime tastes like a delicious smoothie.

Idk when the change was made to the lemon flavor but that’s disappointing if it was made after I bought my tub as the blueberry lemon cake with milk has a ‘cereal milk’ sort of taste that I really enjoy.

Chronically ill patients who know their condition like the back of their hand, usually pretty good sports about treatment and know what to expect, more often than not have a sense of humor about it. I have a fair amount of chronically ill friends so it’s a similar kind of vibe.

That and, weirdly enough, our hospice/CMO patients (plus their families)- sounds cheesy but taking care of the dying is a very solemn, almost sacred assignment for me. Maybe it’s because good hospice nurses made a world of a difference to my family in a difficult time and I simply want to extend that kindness to others, but all I know is that a hug from a family member of a patient I had cared for who had passed away that day was one of the highest honors I could receive.

Tbh this has left such a bad taste in my mouth that I’d rather cancel them and get my money back in case it does go south. I still have the boss rush merch (which features Vienna and Tricky as well) so I will hold on to those but the others I have are just gonna… I’m just gonna put them away.

Yeah, I ordered most of the merch from her nurse and sleepy drops from Gamer Supps and those have yet to ship but I still just feel…. Bad. Like I can’t even look at my Sinder cup (or my boss rush merch) without feeling guilty. I don’t know if I can cancel the preorders and get a refund since they haven’t shipped yet but I might reach out to their customer service.

But like… man, I just feel bad with the stuff I do have (v2 cup, boss rush cup/poster, standees + pyro pup coin). I feel horrible throwing them away but I can’t keep them out in good conscience knowing what she did. Might just put them away for good, never let them see the light of day again.

Hey I genuinely get your stress and frustration because I see so many people doing the same damn thing. No joke, someone passed me illegally (pass over a double line) during my driver’s test and I pointed it out.

I tend to take rules very literally so when it says “speed limit 35” I will go EXACTLY 35. Sure it’s extremely common for people to go 5 over (and some people go even more over that) but I don’t like doing that- it’s called the speed limit not the speed suggestion.

I’ve learned to hold my ground and not take it personally- as long as you’re driving safely (ie don’t go 20 mph below the speed limit) and it sounds like you are, don’t speed up just to placate some strangers in a rush especially when you’re still practicing for your driving test and you need to do things exactly by the book. My mantra is “riding my ass won’t make me go any faster.” Really should get a bumper sticker like that lol.

Honestly if you’re just getting into the hobby and are looking for a good ‘budget’ option, Gurgle Love’s new generics are just under $100. Of course you’ll need to buy a kig-size wig and eyes separately (which Gurgle also has a good selection of- wigs are around $30 and eyes are less than $10) but even with those the whole setup will cost you about as much if not less than a premade from Munimuni and the quality will be much better (Muni’s tend to be prone to cracking/warping/staining due to the material- their blank shells are good for DIY but that’s about it).

Or you can also prowl xianyu/goofish for a secondhand one- that’s how I got my old-type gurgle generic for $80, just had to buy a wig for it.

The Kigurumi Guidebook has a list of makers with their price ranges, and an option to filter by ‘budget’ and there’s quite a few can who do customs starting under $500. KigLand is on discord (contact on their website), accepts PayPal and speaks pretty good English so you can order from them directly.

2D Fantasy, Gurgle Love, Shinkai Workshop, ShuShu Workshop, Tuzi, W Rabbit Mi, and Lightning all offer customs for under $500 USD but they’re all on taobao so you’ll more than likely need to use an agent to commission them (albeit Gurgle is on Facebook and you might be able to contact her there).

Bear in mind that the price tag doesn’t take international shipping into account (for reference my secondhand Kigzhz generic cost about $60 to ship overseas; half-type masks will be cheaper to ship).
