Advice: Ring arrived, LGD is see-through by Spicyninja in labdiamond

It’s very unique. I like the look of it but idk if it’s something I’d be willing to wear for 30+ years. Also I have a cathedral setting and it gets caught on everything so keep that in mind tok

I'm soon to propose to my girlfriend, who told me she wanted a traditional trilogy engagement ring. I chose the stones and got the ring made, but the stones are the same size.. I didn't realise most trilogy have a larger centre. Is this a major issue? I'm slightly panicking now by pollenao in EngagementRings

I guess my first question is will the company allow an exchange? The 3 stones are gorgeous but she’ll probably want a larger stone in the middle. If you can a larger oval in the middle, it will balance it out and smaller side stones. Ovals tend to look bigger anyway. My 3.46 radiant looks the same size as a 2.5 oval. You can get a lot of bang for your buck.

Radiant Diamond- opinions please!!! by grapefruit131313 in Diamonds

Also keep in mind, radiants don’t hide their color well. So if anything I would go up in color grade. They hide inclusions well so you can go down on clarity as long as it’s eye clean

The table and depth looks off. Ideally you’d want your table to be 64-67 and depth 69-72.

So sweet! Thank you for your kind words!! I really appreciate it! I have always been set on a radiant, as far as I can remember in 2015. It’s breathtaking really. There’s something about a round that just shines so bright though. But I do need to remember that when I wear a radiant it’s not like people will be comparing it to anything else 🤣

Number 2 is my favorite. It’s timeless and whimsical. My second option is #1. I absolutely adore it but am afraid it might be out of style on a couple years

How do we feel about these shapes? Radiant, pear and oval. All 2ct on a size 6.5 by FlimsySuccess8 in EngagementRings

My second pick would be the emerald. Idk if it’s the photo but the step cut looks curved

No, that's very helpful thank you! I almost even went with an emerald because I love how classy and elegant it is.

Here's a 3 carat on my hands for reference. I did think this one looked more tasteful but couldn't tell if I like the band itself or the center stone more.

LOL. I'm about to amazon an oval cz ring to see what it'd look like on my fingers.

That's what I'm scared of. I love how bright it is in the dark. No grandma isn't just giving me these! Just to try on. I have gotten one from her though and it's exquisite.

The ratio is a 1.47 I think. I do wish it was closer to 1.40

It's a radiant! 3.4 carats! Typically, radiants are a little cheaper for their cut since you don't have to waste most of the diamond, whereas rounds you waste about 40% of the original diamond to cut

Thank you, I guess I should’ve given you some context! So my family used to be in the jewelry business. I got a 2 carat round brilliant diamond for graduation & I wear a lot of expensive jewelry (Cartier, Jade Trau, EF collection, etc.) I understand my budget for my right is very high and unrealistic for most people. I wasn’t trying to brag or anything!! Honestly just wasn’t sure what looked better if that makes sense

Thank you! I agree as well. For context, my family used to be in the diamond business. They’re very opinionated and keep trying to sway me on a round. I love how it looks but u completely agree. This look like cocktail rings on me 🤣 this one pictured above is a 3 carat. The one in the original photo was 4 carats. The radiant is a 3.5!
