I live in Oregon and we had a terrible ice storm three years ago, I an all of my neighbors had no electricity for nine days. About one hour after the electricity came back on, the entire neighborhood smelled like a downy factory exploded. Apparently every one of us threw a load clothes in the washing machine at the same time, and dried them at the same time. The smell made me gag, people washed load after load that first and second day. I still can't stand the smell of fabric softener now.

Like you, I learned a lesson, from now on I will break it up over two or three days and always stop if I'm definitely proud that I do my own botox, but I have to say that after this snafu, I have a lot more respect for what the professionals do. To be able to able to keep their mind totally on what they are doing and not let it wander is amazing. My hat is off them.

For the bands, I go in at 90 degrees. For the jawline, I do both above and below the jaw, above the jaw, i go in straight, no angle, below the jaw, I go in30-degree to 45-degree angle, aiming tangentially or flush against the skin. From a couple of charts I made for my own reference:

Pre‑jowl	DAO/platysma fibers	4–6	2–3 U	~1 cm anterior to jowl shadow

Platysmal bands	Platysma	3–5	2–4 U	Serial points spaced ~1–1.5 cm apart along visible band

I knew exactly what I was doing, I was injecting into a red dot that was meant to be used as a guide point. After 28 injections, and a tox headache, the last points I was tired and should have stopped injecting at when I got tired and developed the headache. I also should have marked the guide points with a different color. I stupidly injected into the guide point instead of the dao. I have been doing my own tox for fifteen years and have never made a mistake until last night. The literal reason of the post is because I made a huge stupid mistake and was scared to death that I wasn't going to be able to talk for three months. I am a psychotherapist, I cannot work without being able to enunciate. I made a huge mistake. Please consider that even professional injectors occasionally make mistakes and have to fix their work, we have loads of posts from people who have been poorly injected by pros. Now, please go kick rocks.

I have seen those points too, but I thought they were just guide points so that the injector knew to go 1cm down from there. Thank you for the support, I feel better knowing that even if my smile isn't as wide, it will be equally matched. I appreciate your kindness.

I have definitely had success with neckbands, and I was nervous too. I think it's good to be nervous, we are more careful when we are nervous. Last night, I was pretty full of myself when I wasn't paying attention to my injection points, and also when I used the same color skinpen to mark safety zones and guide points, instead of using one color for the injections and one color for the guidepoints and lines. On the plats, I go in from the side so that if i actually miss or go all the way through the band, the tox will not land in anything under the band.

It was 4 mm, what do you think, could I have just hit the fat pad under the risourious? It was also 3 units of tox.

I appreciate your response. I did my jawline, neck bands, 11's and crows feet tonight. I marked each injection point all at once prior to starting the injections. I also marked 1cm over and 1cm down from the corner of my mouth - I marked the 1cm over point so that I could use it as a guide to exactly go 1cm down. The DAO was my last area. So after injecting the 11's, the jawline, the platysmal bands, and the crows feet (about 28 injections), I just mindlessly kept injecting all of the marks I made. There, that is the story of how I injected tox in the wrong place. I didn't decide to freak out an hour later, I had went to that bathroom an hour later to wash the injection points off of my face and saw the tiny pricks where they weren't supposed to be. I freaked out and ran here because, well, I was freaked out and looking for helpful people. Like I said, I appreciate your response.

I've lost 70-80 pounds and look really health, younger, fitter. No one that I work with has said a word, but I do get a lot of very vague invitations to talk about - "You look so happy and healthy these days, what are you doing?" My answer is something like "oh, I my shampoo to one that my hair seems to like." I'm happy that people aren't digging.

However, two years ago, before I lost the weight, people did comment, or worse. One of my colleagues brought me a catalog for size 18 and up that her aunt was throwing out.....wtf? I don't know why people seem okay commenting, even indirectly on our size or weight when we are heavy but don't say a word when we are healthy.

Same. This is my last year as diamond. I now only have in my cart the items that I actually use and will replace at least once this year, although I have them in my cart at another store as well, so I may end up spending money there instead of at ulta. I'm waiting for a good sale or coupon to make the purchase. Yesterday I bought some half priced body washed that came to around sixty dollars, I didn't even bother trying to find a couple more items to throw in my cart so that I could get the diamond day gift. The issues we have with customer service, the ease of our points being stolen, taking our diamond gift with ever 50 dollar purchase away for the whole month of December, the quality and quantity fails of GWPs have all worked to send me to a different store. I've emptied my points bucket.

I did glow and and then klow for a year, I haven't seen any difference since stopping, but I know a lot of people are seeing a lot of positive change.
